Thank f**k. Hope he finally retires from that shower of sh*t.
Wish Cole and Lampard would follow suit as well.

The sad part is that this will probably be the blame for England not getting out of their group. we are'nt going to win anything anyways.

Re: John Terry Stripped of England Captaincy
It is possible to be all honest and stuff. Capello just needs to show some of those brass balls he had when he was at Juventus, Roma and Real Madrid. Forget about the likes of Gerrard, Terry, Rio, etc. These guys, though have a very distinguished career, are in their swansong for England. Let them be and let the new generation start off on the proper foot...

Re: John Terry Stripped of England Captaincy
I would suppose Gerrard will be the obvious candidate but that will be short term as he will retire after the Euros along with Lampard n Rio.
I would agree with others here and give it to Joe Hart.

Re: John Terry Stripped of England Captaincy
Capello is leaving after the Euros why should he give a f**k about the next generation?
Still don't get why the captaincy is such a big deal in anyway. Only in England.

Great news, he should have never got it back.
Give it to Rooney I say. A player who gives 100% on the field and is one of the most experienced players in the national team (who is young as well).
The captaincy will give him an added responsibilty too. My no.1 choice is def Rooney.

So the logic is that making him captain will make him into a level headed and non-moronic player?

On rare occasions he can be, theres no denying that. But one thing, he has improved his temperment a lot as he has gotten older.

No it wouldn't.
It'd convince him to continue his national career. He should get 100 caps and retire. He gets injured every time he plays for England.

Why not? Gerrard has said countless times that playing for England is an honour for him. Injuries in internationals is just down to bad luck.
