Why not? Gerrard has said countless times that playing for England is an honour for him. Injuries in internationals is just down to bad luck.

He's still a very good defender. High line was never his cup of tea, and if a defender not suited to a high line means he's "bad at football" then people need to get their head checked. That being said, he has been very good since we switched to medium line (which has been for quite a while now), which no one bothered pointing out. Obviously a step down from the level he reached in his prime, but that never is a bad thing considering how good he was back then.

And on topic, the FA have just confirmed what I thought them to be since their stance on the Suarez case. Complete jokers just favoring the side claiming to be racially abused just so they look like the good guys out of Blatter and co.

It must feel so awesome to be a black player right now. You can accuse a non-black of anything you want and the FA will make sure he'll get a 8 match ban or be stripped of the England captaincy even when he hasn't got a fair chance to prove his stance in a trial.
