If the predicted lineup is correct, Jupp Heynckes will field something like this away from home:

No Alaba means no real control over the game and defensive frailty in CM area. Kroos is also much more needed in #10 role which Müller will occupy eco smile
Of course, if the rumors aren't true and they'll start:

If you guys are lucky Robben did badly in training and Müller has to play on the right, that'd solve all the problems.

I don't think that Robben is bad, I just think that Kroos not playing #10 is worse than Robben not playing.

That's how I'd play it.

Though it might work with Tymo instead of Alaba as well, I wouldn't underrate Gustavo.

How many in three years? Less than 5. And how many offensive moves has he killed by doing so? I'd rather have Alaba or Kroos playing one of the 6's.

Talking of long range shots and stuff, I'd wish that Badstuber would be allowed to take one or the other freekick again. The last freekicks by Kroos etc didn't look too convincing to me ^^

i think bayern will get a tight win, maybe even a comfortable one. manu only lost to basel cause they underrated them.

i just hope that basel put a good fight, though i expect shaqiri to flop. xhaka and f.frei have to perform if basel want to get anything positive out of this.

Actually I'd hope that Shaqiri won't flop as that would IMO put a question mark over his professionalism. Right now he's a Basel player and should do his utmost for his current team.

Kroos at CM is a big fail. Alaba needs to play there.

Alaba is much closer to Schweinsteiger than Kroos is.

personally i dont doubt his professionalism, but its quite obvious that hell get the most attention from bayern players. well, shaqiri usually doesnt perform under pressure.

Your hatred towards Tymo maybe for other reason, performance wise he has played so well this season for Bayern, funny how dominace we are when he's playing.

Tymo-Schweini-- Best Bayern Combo I have seen in a while after Van Bommel-Schweini...

Tymo-Schweini-- Best Bayern Combo I have seen in a while after Van Bommel-Schweini...

When Schwein - Tymo are playing, Schweini takes over as the midfield general while Tymo sits back and provides cover. He is asked to do very little going forward. With Schweini out, Tymo's horrible decision making is magnified and his limitations are very apparent.

That being said, you could stick anyone in the 6's with a healthy Schweini and it would be the best combination since Van Bommer left.
