Liverpool vs Cardiff

This match deserves more attention. Liverpool for the win. Gerrard, Suarez and Bellamygoat to score.

I'm very nervous. This is just the type of match we tend to struggle in.

When is the game?

Sunday morning.

I just check the time its right after Arsenal vs Spurs game.

I will be surprised if liverpool doesnt win this. But its a cup final.

I think all of the Liverpool supporters are rather nervous/anxious about this one. Cardiff aren't a bad championship side, but they're certainly the underdog in this match. We've typically had trouble breaking down "lower" ranking sides this season. Even with Suarez in the lineup, we've sometimes lacked the creativity to open up a resilient defense. Suarez isn't always able to create and score all by himself... at least not as a lone striker. Then again, we now have other strikers that are scoring. Combine that with Cardiff's 1.62 goals against average in their last five matches and you get a decidedly murky picture of what will happen Sunday. It's a one-off performance. Anything is possible.

You have a firing Gerrard and Suarez and Bellemy on your side. The wall in defense. I really see a win for you and I will bumb this when it happens.

It's not that I don't believe we can win. It's that our inconsistency worries me, and the fact that we should win is often our curse against lower Premier League sides. The recent performances have been really encouraging, however. The support is much appreciated.

Btw, you forgot to mention a firing Carroll. The man has put in some class performances of late.

Gerrard hasn't really been "firing." Carroll is arguably in better form at the moment. I'm not arguing your overall point, but that little bit needed correction.

We are all excited and optimistic, but also nervous. If you have watched us constantly this season Blackmore, you'll know why we're nervous. Cardiff is exactly the kind of opposition we have been struggling against but with all that said and done

My prediction is 3:1 to us. Agger/Skrtel to grab one of the goals.

Liverpool will win this comfortably. 3-0 to the scousers.

I've always had a warm spot for Liverpool. Followed them all season when you guys almost beat the Manchesters and still follow them to this day. Big big Liverpool fan here. :vagi:

I'm not nervous at all. If Cardiff take the lead, that's when I get nervous. But until then, I actually find myself being very very confident.

So... that first trophy under the new owners' regime - and with Dalglish managing the team - is going to feel sweet

At any rate, you only have to look at last year's final to see that this is far from a foregone conclusion. Liverpool are obviously the superior side but in a cup final anything can happen; one costly error can cost you the whole thing.
