Same as this year except TV replaces kos. If we get samba, I would love to see DJ and samba against stoke, blackburn etc. I also want to see samba vs crouch. LOL

Its funny how some of us prefer Fabianski over Sczecny cause i remember us calling him Flappyhandski when he started the season.

Fabianski had shaky start but he managed to make great saves and also saved a great penalty against a team that i dont remember. Despite all that i still prefer Sczecny over him because Fabianski might have made great saves and all that but he lack consistency and make great mistakes too.

Sczecny on the other hasnt made any big mistake yet and he is confident plus he is just 21 so he can only get better.

Here's mine:
----------------------------------Szczzczczczczczesny----------------------------------
Sagna--------------Djorou/Samba---------------The Verminator----------Clichy---
----------------------------------------Song------------------------------------------------
--------?????????---------------Fabregas---------------------------Arshavin---------
--------------------------Walcott-------------Robin Van Persie--------------------------

Interesting but there is no Wilshere and no one on the right flank. I don't want to see Bendtner there. Walcott could go right flank and then Chamakh goes up front with RVP.

Or:

--------------------------------Szczczzczczczczesyny----------------------------------
Sagna-----------------Djorou/Samba----------------Verminator--------------Clichy
-------------------------------------Song--------------------------------------------------
------------Fabregas------------------------------------Wilshere-------------------------walcott----------------------Robin Van Persie---------------------------------Arshavin

Fabianski

Sagna --- Koscielny --- Vermaelen --- Clichy

Song --- Wilshere

Walcott --- Fabregas --- Hazard

------------Van Persie--------------

Might be biased but I love Kozz so much to leave him out, although Kozz and TMV did have horror show last year in Poland.

Hazard if Nasri leave.

it's interesting with the goal keepers. I feel that no matter who takes the number 1 shirt, we're going to lose a polish goalkeeper by the end of next season.

Fabianski is older, and in my mind better. Fully deserved the 1st spot when he had it, was unfortunate to get injured. If he comes back from injury just to sit on the bench again, he'd have every right to leave.

Szczesny may be younger but he's clearly impressed everyone and can only improve. With his ego, being put on the bench even for an older keeper would probably be enough for him to go somewhere for first team action.

I can't help but notice that everyone seems to have resigned to a 4-3-3. Come on guys, little more creative Smile I'm sure most of you have experimented in Football Manager or something to come up with more stuff?

How about this:
Fabianski
Sagna Vermaelen Djourou Clichy
Ramsey/Wilshere Song
Walcott Fabregas Arshavin
RvP

Its still 4-3-3 but more in a 4-2-3-1 way. Ofcourse, we can move RvP into Fabregas's position and play Chamakh in front.

Or play a midfield diamond with only one DM, two wide midifielders, Fabregas and two strikers upfront. 4-1-2-1-2?

Or a 4-2-2-2? With 2 DMs, 2 wide players and 2 strikers?

[Just trying to put ideas into your heads, be creative with it Smile ]

We're all pretty resigned to 4-3-3 because of fabregas. He isn't good enough defensively for being one of 2 CMs. Unless we lose him, thats what we're doing.

People are going 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 because that is the formation we play.

Pretty pointless predicting a starting eleven in a formation you know we're not going to use.

True. We have built this team and our style around Fabregas. Unfortunately, when he plays only 25 odd games a season, we don't have a able enough substitute to play his role. And hence we see a lack of creativity in the midfield and struggle to break down defenses. Which is why I am wondering if we can tweak the formation a bit so that Fabregas still enjoys his attacking role, but we also are able to do justice to others in the team. If that can happen, we might not necessarily lack creativity in attack.

I also remember someone posted in the old forums that when we play our "team A", the 4-3-3 works. But what was our "team B", would have thrived on a more 4-4-2 formation. Unfortunately, "team A" and "team B" are very loosely defined in the real world and players are often switched around. And this change in formation would affect our consistency A LOT! I still think we can find some compromise.

I'm not sure if switching formations all the time is a good idea, it can confuse players and may not work.

for sure.. Have you seen a 20 year old gk in a big club complaining that the main coach forgets him.. Thats Sczeny..
So surely i expect some unhappy comments, contract issues, etc like we had with Bendtner...

& that's a problem right there...we can't be saying 'Fabianski is the better choice right now, but we can't bench Szczesny because he will leave'. It wouldn't be exactly great for team morale if a particular player gets preferential treatment from the manager would it?

flappyhandski is too much of a liability. I say play Szczesny, let him develop and he will turn into a solid keeper. he did unbelievably well to be thrown in at such a pivotal part of the season.

Fabianski is more like Valdes. He started horribly and improved each game.

Szczesny is more like Casillas , he's a world class material.

Szczesny is just as much of a liability, i think. Fabianski has been good all season, made one error the entire pl season. He can develop in to a WC keeper just as much, if not more.

Chessy is got age on his side.. He can stay with use for what, 12-13 years more? After so long with crises, I wouldn't mind a WC GK for a decade Very Happy

Although Fabianksi has shown him true potential this season, with the number of games we play, I think we can manage to keep both happy with some decent rotation.. Besides, this is Arsenal, we are bound to have injuries.. (Sorry for the pessimisim here, but we had to sign Lehmann back remember?)
