But I don't think that's really cheating. I never have the intention to dive. Just to play honest football. I am against divers. It is just not honest, but it is difficult. But sometimes you are knocked off balance a bit and it looks a bit funny.

oh whatever rvp should shut it. a little unfair pushing won't ruin the game. you should never be thinking when to simulate during the play. the crap that ronaldo and alves does ruins the game way more, which is clear diving,

Imo, diving occurs when a player falls with little to no contact from an opposition player

just checking. you said imo there's a difference between diving and acting. i thought you also might have thought one's worser than the other. because i know somebody who thinks play acting is worse than diving.

He's my fav player but i don't exactly agree with him.
If someone pushes you a little bit and you can't score because of it, doesn't mean you should go down, because the push might have been a fair push, and you can't judge whether or not it wasn't fair, that's for the ref.

I understand when players, having felt contact, especially in the box, go down.

If you get fouled/pushed/tripped in the box and you dont fall down, the ref isnt going to give you a penalty. Simply put, if you dont end up on the floor, its not a pen in the eyes of the ref.

So, if your honest, try and stay on your feet when knocked off balance and because of that cant score, you aint getting anything.

If you feel the contact and know you aint getting the goal opportunity you would have otherwise, you go down.

But is it really 'cheating' to fall down to show the ref that you've been fouled on? There is no intent to gain an unfair advantage, but merely to show the ref that something is going on.

In that case it isn't IMO. But as i said earlier, what the player thinks is a foul, is not necessarily a foul, so if they go down because of what they think is a foul, and the ref gives him the free kick, even though it wasn't an actual foul, but he was fooled because the player went down, then that would be cheating, so they gotta try stay on their feet. It's not a foul just because they are still on their feet.

You get what im saying?

If you watch the first dive, Mascherano dives after Adebayor just lightly touches him. That's the dive. Then when Mascherano goes down, he clutches his face, pretending to be in pain.

You can watch the rest of the video for fun Very Happy
