Make no mistake, they are an awesome team with a great defense. But you can't be the best defense in Europe without playing in any of the UEFA competitions.

Well, they regularly play teams that do play in Europe, though. I mean, the BL currently has 1 team left in the CL and two in the EL, thus pointing to the fact that the BL isn't so weak as some people think (not even pointing to the 5 year ranking where we are nr.3 Razz

No doubt Rwo. My point is, it seems unfair to the other teams to claim BMG has the best defense in Europe when they dont have to go through the European competitions.

As of now, i acknowledge them being one the best in defense this season, but just not the best.

Well, I think I mentioned in some other thread only recently that all of the THE best stuff is somewhat overrated anyway. But they definitely belong to the best IMO and it is pretty hard to break them down as Bayern experienced yesterday again. Pity BMG loses some important players as they will show up in Europe next season for sure ^^

It's either "lulz, any half decent striker can score in the Bundesliga! Defenses are shit!".

Or: "lulz, it doesn't matter if you have some of the best defenses in Europe, it's only the Bundesliga were strikers are shit" Yet while historically being one of the top scoring leagues.

Nevermind Bayern who maintains that record while going in the toughest group and regularly playing in Europe.
