Lahm - Boateng - Badstuber - Alaba

vs

Arbeloa - Pepe - Ramos - Marcelo

No poll, just opinions.

I called Bayerns defence better in that other thread, though that was explicitly because I was talking about the defensive unit at Bayern, not the back four.

This means I included Gustavo & Schweinsteiger vs Khedira & Xabi and the tactics, when I said that.

Considering just the back four... About even, considering that Lahm is better than Arbeloa, and Alaba at least defends better than Marcelo, though Marcelo is better going forward.

Don't know about the CB comparison tbh. All 4 of them decent.

We're an attacking team at heart. Even our CB's look good going forward, Bayern have a better defence but I think it's due to being a bit more solid as a unit all over the pitch.

We have a few short comings and we are working on improving our midfield cover.

I agree with this, on the whole, factoring in experience, Real might even have the better back-four, it's just that Bayern place a far greater focus on their defense than Real does, so their defense is bound to look better.
