The same game you watched, I saw him round up Buffon, who did a terrific job to clear the ball, dribble a defender and set up a chip shot, dribbled another defender and sent in a dangerous cross, all in a matter of 10 minutes or so.

People are really blind, I think Torres is just a victim of his past form and price tag, no matter what he does he doesn't get the appreciation he deserves, Spain looked 10x more dangerous when he came on FFS.

Lol, he didn't do anything except run when Xavi or Iniesta gave him a amazing pass which any player could have completed or in open play he'd give a horrible pass. I honestly have nothing against Torres other then the fact that he sucks, I'd rather have Ramos in striker position.

LOL @ the Torres hate. The minute he came on he was a threat, the one v one was against one of the best keepers in the world, any other keeper, he would have scored. The chip, he had two defenders on him and he created that space to even have a chance for a lob. Stop with the hate. :facepalm:

Buffon was lucky that it was the Fernando "the headless chicken" Torres in front of him, had it been Villa, that ball would have been at the back of the net.

This. Apparently those two chances were "sitters" as well.

Lets blame the player who only got 15 minutes of playing time for playing anti-football for 2/3 of the game.

These comments are funny. I don't blame Torres tbh, the two chances were hard and tbh he did very well especailly with the chip were he got past one defender and did a pretty good chip.

RvP made his chances, and only spurned one very good opportunity. He deserves no more flaming than Torres, at the moment.

Yet Torres comes on for a team that has done nothing all game and brings the game to life by being an actual forward. So what if he missed a chance? It was more than most of his team had done all game.
