I like Canelo, but im doubtful. His feet are too slow and he gets hit too much. Has a chance though, huge puncher.

barcastuff @barcastuff
Cuenca has accepted Valencia offer to join them on loan for rest of season. Valencia also want buy option. Barcelona didn't yet decide. [as]
Don't like this one bit. Our right wing has produced like 2 goals all year, and the one guy that could come in and give it a spark is loaned out?! Come on now. Also, hope they dont agree to the option to buy. What ever happend to Sergio Canales, I swear that guy has been injured since he was born. On the bright side he gets to probably get a ton of playing time, as well as Champions League games.

Re: Transfer Rumors
That would be an awful move. If they have an option to buy as well, that would be terrible.
There is no reason we need to be loaning out Cuenca. At least give him a chance to make the RW spot his own this season, which I think he can do given how bad others have been in that spot. Or he'll at least get in rotation on that side.

Re: Transfer Rumors
The strange thing is, its not even like Cuenca struggled before he got injured and therefore there are question marks about his ability.
We saw what he could do and it was very good.
My only explanation is we already have 4 forwards to flank Messi, dont need a 5th. But to me this is flawed thinking because none of them are playing that well (or playing often enough) to cement anything.

Re: Transfer Rumors
our right wing has not been atrocious at all and produced much more than 2 goals. Pedro has 10 assists. Cuenca Osti not really a goal threat plus. Would have kept him but a loan to get his form back is not a bad move.

Tbh, in such form as Pedro is, Cuenca MIGHT just be more of a goal threat than Pedro.
I find Cuenca's overall play superior to anything we have on the right wing. The major reason Pedro has always had the RW spot over someone like Cuenca is because of his goalscoring ability, which right now is non-existent.
To get rid of him before he has the chance to play for us this season is a bad move. Even just looking at it from a purely logical perspective- at least let him play a bit before moving him on loan.
What makes this even more perplexing is that Tito has the forwards playing very wide, stretching the defense, and hitting it back into Messi for the majority of goals- this has been touched on by Alexjanosik before. Who in our squad is better at this than Cuenca? Pedro has done an alright job and his assist count shows, but Cuenca is better than him at this.
It's not like we're constantly looking for the ball between the LB and CB this season, which is something Pedro has constantly tried in the past. This season they're staying out wide much more. Cuenca is very good at staying wide, and rarely looks for that run. He's a natural for how we're playing this season.

Re: Transfer Rumors
If we should loan Cuenca, i think Valencia could be a good place. A serious team where he could get playing action. I am alos not against him being sold there with an attractive buy back clause.

Re: Transfer Rumors
I like Cuenca. He is a good technical player who can beat his man and can pass well.Unlike Alexis,he wont pass back all the time.
Would probably find it hard to get minutes but could have played in the Copa.
Also with our recent injury record,it would have been wise to keep him.

Re: Transfer Rumors
Prefer Cuena to Tello. At least the latter can do something in tight spaces (i.e. 90% of Barcelona games).
Re: Transfer Rumors
I hope Cuenca stays :/ prefer Sanchez to go on a damn loan.

Re: Transfer Rumors
we all know that Sanchez has done crap since he has come to Barca shores but seriously, you reckon Barca are gonna loan a 40 million signing? He is getting plenty of game time (too much tbh) and well if he has to go then on a permanent move with maybe a buyout clause...

Re: Transfer Rumors
It's impossible that Barcelona loans Sanchez. We should keep everyone now and at the end of the season sell Alexis and David and buy neymar and promote Deulofeu. We would have this forwar line:
Neymar Messi Pedro
Tello Cuenca Deulofeu
Three team players + three magicians. All positions doubled. Neymar would play striker if Messi was out and in case both are out we would have Cesc, Rafinha and Dongou.
Only that we would miss a bit Alexis energy and teamwork for some games. He could stay if he accepted a lower salary to compensate his astronomical transfer and these two year wages.

Exactly, considering the performance at the moment Cuenca would be better than pedro any day. don understand why loan Cuenca when pedro is shooting here and there.

Re: Transfer Rumors
Pass me what you are smoking if you think Cuenca is better or can score more than Pedro.
You should accept that Pedro is our second best forward right now.

As a forward yes, Deulofeu is better than Rafinha. But Rafinha is mostly a midfielder.

He has potential to become a star no doubt, but they never do for some reason. Hes gameplay and style reminds me a bit of Messi tho.
