Savic? I watched him just once last season against Tottenham. He gifted Jermaine Defoe a goal, and then he almost gave Tottenham what should have been another goal for Defoe, if he had not missed the sitter- which would have won Tottenham the game.

I'd take Masch over him. We don't need that in our team.

For the Villa rumour its false... Arsene Wenger is looking to launch a bid for Villa nothing else...
Never heard of Umtiti therefore don't know whether he is a decent enough player... We have so many options or the left and right so I don't think we need anyone there... CB is the main problem which we need some with experience to fit the hole...

Abidal is perhaps a good comparion, but Umtiti is about 3 inches shorter. He has played at all youth level for France, currently the u20's I think.

Hasnt played for Lyon this season, had a dozen games last season. Very young at 19, doubt we would move for him right now.

He has played quite a bit actually. Starting to make the left back his own spot because Dabo isn't good enough despite his experience. Umititi is still raw but potential is there

He is pretty talented. Lyon values him really highly and he is one of the reason they sold Aly this season.

Although he still has to improve few things.

I personally haven't watched him but heard from my Frenchies that he's one of France's top upcoming defenders (originally from Cameroon?) - improved his ball playing skills a lot this season.

Ready for Barça though? I don't think so. You should have signed Vertonghen when you had the chance, imo. Definitely a better signing than Song whichever way you think about it.

my question is why is Sport reporting this if they are pro-Barca. Everyone knows Villa has been our 2nd best striker this season, especially given the very few mins he has had to prove himself.

Although, if I were Villa, I'd probably request a transfer as well, he's not being treated very well.

De Gea wouldn't be horrible but the only think that I don't like his how expensive he might be.
but he is young and can only get better.
Apparently we are also linked with 18 year old Marquinhos (defender) from Roma

Perhaps dema gea won't be that expensive. Manchester might consider to sell him. Around 20 million would be a fair price.

20m is quiet a lot though, for a keeper rather go for the cheaper route, the Valencia keeper believe he'd sell for like 5-10m as people have said
First we should find out how much Valdes sells for and use that money for his replacement not overspend

De Gea costed them that amount, so we can also pay 20 milion. We are talking about a 1st team player for the best club in the world, and we are rich. I don't see the point in trying to buy cheap unless we are sure it's the same quality.
In my books, De Gea > Guaita, so I'd rather pay 20 milion.

If he costed them 20m we sure as hell arn't getting him for the same value, just because we are the best club and are wealthy doesn't mean we should spend in a stupid fashion it never works out for us if anything they usually flop, the smarter thing to do is buy with value and ability Guaita isn't that bad.

De Gea > Guaita. So we'd better go for De Gea.

20M + for De Gea is ridiculous. Especially considering how error prone he can be. If we are paying that much for a keeper he better come ready, not come over with potential which is what De Gea would be. Honestly would rather go for Mattia Perin or ter Stegen. The idea of getting Reina at this stage in his career is ridiculous, unless we plan on giving him Pinto's role which I seriously doubt he would want.

I hope we sign Marquinhos. I'm just glad we are finally linked with a young promising CB
