34 - Arsenal have picked up 34 Premier League points in 2013, only Man Utd (36) have more this year. Gallop.

Re: Arsenal Stats and Facts Thread
That stat is ridiculous.
You know, its kind of funny how no one really cries for #wengerout in the second half of the season. Yet in the first half thats all we ever hear.
He really needs to figure out whats going on these first halves of the season and how its different from now, where we pick up wins and points on a weekly basis. We could be title contenders as soon as next year if we sorted out the first half woes.

Re: Arsenal Stats and Facts Thread
Haven't bothered to check and confirm these stats, but if they're true ...
https://twitter.com/CommanderCool91/status/331824578408103936
Arsenal have won only 7% of matches refereed by Mike Dean in the league ('09-10 to current season). Other CL competitors have all won 50% or more of their comparable number of league matches refereed by Dean.
Anyone able to confirm or deny? I have a horrible memory for officials & specific matches because I can't stand most of them anyway ... only 15 games seems very low for four seasons, no?

nothing surprising there.. we lost our best players.. bring in new ones.. the team takes it time to gel and we look good again..VendettaRed07 wrote:That stat is ridiculous.

Kinda funny that in the earlier seasons of our trophy drought we usually did good in the first half of the season and then crumbled by February/March. And in the last two seasons it has been the opposite.

Obviously our defense system improved over the season especially towards the end of the season but one reason why i think we have that stat is that we seems to be chasing games at those periods(i think we scored highest number of goals at these periods too) especially when individual errors are costing us points and when this was sorted out then we started closing out games

2 - If all the fixtures in the Premier League were played like a two-legged cup tie with the away goals rule applied, this is how the table would look. Cup.
To clarify, if Team A beat Team B 2-1 at home but then lost 0-1 away, they would have lost the tie on away goals.
Draws were only awarded when the scores and the number of away goals scored were both level.
