Mancini is a great coach but he has one major flaw, its that he doesnt know which tactic to go in with in big games.

.........Except against United.

MU mostly play 4-4-2, or 4-4-1-1...with rooney dropping deep...it's not that hard to figure out lol. I hate it when other teams just press our midfield :[

Terrific game, although not quite as epic as Everton v Newcastle.

We'll see how much City will come to regret that lost opportunity.

Great coach my foot! Mancini is so clueless, he cannot even coach his way out of a paper bag. Way too negative for my liking...

Before the match, Roberto Mancini said he has upgraded from a fiat to a Ferrari

Then he crashed it.

Madrid pretty much should have had that game in their pockets though their finishing was terrible in the first half. Manchester City could have had the game in their pockets as well but Toure missed his chance leaving Marcelo to equalise. Thought after Mou's three attacking changes that Madrid's defense became poor. Also with the amount of pressing they did to City in the first half tired them in the second half allowing City to create chances.
This game really would have gone bad with the press if Madrid had lost it though they haven't and now that boost will give them heads up into La Liga.

Angel Di Maria while grabbing two assists managed to create 10 (yes 10) scoring chances against Man city, on top of that he also grabbed the most touches in the game with 99, the equal most tackles for Madrid with 3, the most crosses in the game with 9, the most accurate long balls with 8, the most through-balls with 4 and the second most passes with 61@87%.

Higuain also created 6 as well.

Post by danyjr Tue Sep 18, 2012 10:49 pm

dí Maria was Man of the Match for me. He was absolutely tireless and without him Madrid would lost the match. On his good day I dare say he is as effective as Messi. How he pressured, went for every ball for 90 minutes, you sometimes wonder if he is human. Marcelo, too, was very good and got his reward by scoring a rare right-foot.

Mancini showed he is too scared to step up. Remember last season against Arsenal? The only match City showed guts last season was the match against United. So much money gone to waste. And both teams' bench was absolutely sick. Dzeko, Zabaleta, Benzema, Özil, Modrić. These guys are a class team of their own! Such a shame to be sitting on the bench.

Yes, Koralov's free kick was mesmerising, Benzema's finish was superb, but dí Maria was the difference today. In my humble opinion.

A lot of Real Madrid players looked better than usual today. Ronaldo dribbling well, Alonso, Di Maria etc. Arbeloa looked like a top 2 RB...
