I loved Soto, he always gave his heart out for the club. And he was very funny guy.

The interview implied pretty heavily that he wanted to get back to Australia, and had an offer come in. At the same time, though, his team as a whole isn't with 'Pool anymore; they might've wanted to move in a new direction under Rodgers. Seemed amiable though.
