I know I'm super late with this one, but halfway through The Last Dance and really enjoying it. It's wild how the 90s feel so different from modern life.

I always want to see it but never do. 90's were the peak of our civilization tbh, all downhill from there

Watched Foundation episode one, it seems decent enough, will proceed.

Aren't there like 10 times more people with AIDS now than the 90's? They just live with it now.

90's were indeed the best of times. Even though where I'm from was war torn all through the decade, I have nothing but the best of memories from that period.

lol i struggled to get thru the first episode... typical cringey satire type that we get these days where the main characters are horrible people

then again i also struggled with the fast paced nature of The Bear, a show that a lot of people seem to like, so try it out for yourself and see...

my enjoyment for entertainment has truly narrowed down... i don't watch as much movies and tv series as i used to... and it's not without trying, but so many times i find myself quitting the movie or show after 20 to 30 minutes if it doesn't hook me...

these days youtube, listening to music, writing and scrolling social media takes up most of my free time and mental energy

Fair enough i guess. you can always try to spice up your entertainment though, for me it helps that i'm a gamer too so i can switch up when i feel burned out. recently finished Alan Wake 2 which was a masterpiece in storytelling.

Anyway i just watched the first episode. the show sure loves to make the audience uncomfortable and i understand how that might put some people off but as a Succession fan i'm used to awkward scenes and dialogues Laughing so they didn't bother me match.

But overall i'm intrigued by the promise of this show and will continue watching. also from the look of it, the show is not afraid to tackle sensitive subjects or trying to be super woke/PC. Emma Stone being in it also helps, great actress with insane acting range.

I worked from home a lot recently so that gave me the opportunity to watch a lot of TV.

I'm currently re-watching:

Highlander the Series
Brotherhood
Fringe
Gargoyles
Daredevil
The Magicians
The Expanse

Shows I'm catching up on:

Bosch: Legacy
The Great
What If.....?

Shows I'm watching for the first time:

Blue Eye Samurai
Silo
Star Trek: Lower Decks

Just finished:

Reacher (Season 2)
Percy Jackson
The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 2)
The Borgias (Re-watch)
The Changeling
The Bear

I still have a lot in my "catch up" backlog and a few in my new shows list and just a ton of shows in my re-watch queue.

Couldn't get past the first 10 minutes tbh. it's too chaotic, fast-paced and yes, also stressful.

One of the most stressful TV shows I've ever watched. I have a new found appreciation for the fine dining industry.

Excellent show.

I don't find The Bear that stressful to watch. Not stressful enough that I can't enjoy it anyway. It shouldn't be compared to Uncut Gems for example.

But it's definitely got some stress to it. It's a fantastic show though, I'd recommend it

I think a lot of the stress just comes from the fact that the stakes were just so high, especially in season 2. Every character felt it in very different ways and they also responded in different ways too, which elevate the stress even more. The margin for error was razor thin and watching everyone deal with that was a lot.

Just finished Shogun, so highly rated n I do agree, its great, especially great production n everything looked real n authentic. Also its good since its just 1 season series... too many tv series seems to be great the first season, n then often soon after they've attracted viewers the quality starts to fall off or they drag out the next few seasons to maximize what they have n juice it for as long as possible Razz
