Bilbao are a dangerous team esp. with their pressing upfront. They tored ManU apart last year with that style. If all their players are fit and well rested it will be close. Glad we got our LB back. But our pressing upfront is still a question mark given the key strikers are out...

Athletic have lost 13 of their last 14 matches with Real Madrid, barring any extra-ordinary circumstances, I expect the usual trashing to be dished out. I hope Ronaldo is fit for this match and we get no more injuries during the international break.

Benzema played well. His dribbling looks better than before and he looked sharp overall.

What a pass by Modric.

Athletic have now lost 14 out of their last 15 matches with Real Madrid, that is a disgraceful record. As usual the had a few chances but were at the end of another trashing.

Benzema looked inspired today, his two weeks absence has really done him a world of good, I can't see Higuain starting any matches with the form Benzema is in.

Ramos looked good and actually joined the attack more frequently than usual. The rest of the back four were solid but they weren't trouble much by the sterile Athletic attack.

Modric had another wonder game, what a player, I really enjoyed watching him play today.

Callejon put in a good shift and looked much better than Di Maria who came on for him.

Ronaldo's game was below his usual standards, but he could still have gotten a wonder assist when he put in a delightful cross which Callejon turned on to the post, I guess the injury and lack of training took a toll on him.

All in all the result flattered Athletic they could easily have lost 8-2 or 9-2 if it wasn't for their goalkeeper. I also thought they should have gotten a penalty when Coentrao handled the ball. The referee though was total crap, he kept giving decisions all match long to Athletic but in the end it didn't matter.
