Arsenal boss respects ‘reborn’ Juventus
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that Italian giants Juventus will be a threat in the Champions League.
The Old Lady could face the Gunners in the next round of the competition after both reached the last 16.
And Wenger, writing in his Eurosport column, highlighted the Bianconeri’s achievement in topping a group containing Shakhtar Donetsk and Chelsea.
“Let's not forget Juventus, who eventually sealed their qualification on the final day,” the Frenchman commented.
“That they did so in such a fashion means something – it’s the sign of the great team in an exceptional state of mind. I believe Juve have been reborn.
“Now we are into the knock-out phase of the competition – with direct elimination – I think Juventus can go far because they are capable of springing a surprise.”
The draw for the last 16 will take place on Thursday 20 December.
Champions League last 16 qualifiers…
Group A: PSG, Porto
Group B: Schalke, Arsenal
Group C: Malaga, Milan
Group D: Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid
Group E: Juventus, Shakhtar Donetsk
Group F: Bayern Munich, Valencia
Group G: Barcelona, Celtic
Group H: Manchester United, Galatasaray
Juventus could draw: Porto, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Valencia, Celtic and Galatasaray.
Milan could draw: Paris Saint-Germain, Schalke, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester United.

We don't need Wenger's "validation" as a great team after this comments about Juventus and Italy this summer. I would love to have the opportunity to eliminate them in the next round.

I hate Arsenal and Wenger with a passion! Always have and always will! I mean how do you even end up with a manager called Arsene at a club called Arsenal...WTF is that about!
