Roberto Mancini - Stay or go? Empty Roberto Mancini - Stay or go?

He did bring City that premier league title... although his champions league performances have been well bellow expectations and given all of those signings one might suspect him to do a lot better. Do you think he just needs more time, or do you feel like he's been given more than enough chances and he should've been gone a while ago?

New sections cheers

Mancini has never been totally convincing. With their recent poor form in the league coupled with their another CL exit, it wouldn't really surprise anyone if they sacked him. Probably not during the season, though.

like right now? no..

but they should sack him at the end of the season, unless they want another poor CL display in the next one.
i think domestically he has done very well considering he is facing 'baconface', but for a team of this quality is unacceptable to do this bad in europe 2 years straight.

but im certain they wont sack him unless they can bring mourinho or maybe pep to etihad

Long term, he has got to go. If Aguero didnt save him performing miracles last season, he would of already be gone.

The CL performances is horrific and the only reason they are in the running for the title is there is literally no competition consistent enough minus Manchester Utd.

Tactically he makes some odd decisions, both to start games but especially during them..on top of that, what happened to Man City's famed youth system? Nobody is getting any chances and even the young players they have are going more backwards than forwards.

Balotelli is meant to be his boy, but he has done nothing for him. Aguero is scoring goals, but has lost other parts of his game, he cant get any consistency out of Silva because of his poor tactical choices and you could throw some blame at his door for Nasri, Richards and formly Johnson going nowhere fast.

Hart and Lescott have come on under him, I would argue Hart was simply due to his experience and what happens when you get it, Lescott is simply back to playing like he did for Everton, when he is fit that is.

not every team is barcelona lol
why should he use youth when the board gives him the oppotunity to buy any player he wants? if the youth was good enough trust me he would give chances, but its manchester city's rise days, the board is demanding and he does what its best for him & his job and that is exploit the best out of his current squad for rapid success

domestically he has done very well, its fergie we are talking about. he is facing the best ever coach in premier league and the other teams cant follow cause of the two manchesters dominance which is due to him in the first place so he deserves cerdit

the only thing you can blame him is regarding europe, and that will be the reason he will get sacked eventually

Because if you knew anything about Man City, which you clearly dont, you would know they for the last 10 years have had one of the better youth academies in England. Thats why they should use their youth..you know, instead of mercenaries who are mostly in it for the paycheck.

And again, they are doing well in the league by default. There is no 3rd strong team with any consistency and when you throw 100m at 2-3 players whenever you want its not that hard to at least come in the top 2 which they will do again this season probably.

If he doesn't win anything this season, then he should go.

i dont need to know anything lol

they have a rich board which means they can buy anyone they want, now, next year, and the year after that
the one they will buy will offer them what they want, they dont have to risk anything, they dont want to risk anything, simple as that, they dont care about money so you shouldnt either

just cause barca invests on the youth and gets rewarded doesnt mean city will too, they may have good academies but its clearly not enough for what they are aiming for, they like to pay instead and get who they want, i dont have a problem with that
i find it completely normal and from the point of mancini's view , it affects his job which certainly its related to his current results for success rather than future investment where we dont even know if he will be part of it.

and again your argument is flawed when there is also chelsea out there and considering the money they also spend and look where they ended up last year and also where they stand in the table today in adition to city you will realize its not that easy after all

give credit where it's due, he finished 1st last season and he can do it again.

He may go at the end of the season though its hard to say who will come in... I really don't think Mou will fit in Man City with two former Barca directors in there and the unnecessary comments he has made to Man City during this season...

His problem is he isn't really an exceptional manager. Its not his fault, but he doesn't have it in him. That's no sly on City or what they have achieved and nothing can take away from him winning them the league. But the resources at play put such an advantage in his court, he would have had to be on Steve Bruce level management to **** it up. Even then he only won it on GD against a really poor (for their standards) Utd team

Mancini just doesn't have the tactical clamour to understand how best to tackle Europe. His counter attacking style with neglect of midfield and a lack of a good midfield organizer in terms of ball retention really costs him. With all the resources that isn't acceptable. I think that City management are just waiting for some high profile manager to be available, and that he'll be sacked in such a situation irrespective of where City stand at the end of the season.
