dear non arsenal fans

when the french dictator gets fired in july, it wont be because of not winning trophies, it because arsenal fans that once defended him HATE the bastard.

we are proactive by default, sold our only DM, song replaced him with no one , diaby is always injured, arteta is burning out, we got no true replacement left back, kicked out our best lb last season to a brazilian loan pedro botelho, and now our only replacement rb is getting kicked out on loan when sagna has been frustrating..

to cap it all, we are buying no one

About transfers, I think Everton are just trying to scare the other top-4 contenders by appearing to actually have funds to spend :coffee:

BBC Sport's Ben Smith reports that Christopher Samba has passed his medical at QPR and is expected to finalise a £12.5m move from Anzhi Makhachkala any time soon.

It is understood the 28-year-old centre-back has agreed terms on a deal that will see him receive £100,000-a-week, including bonuses and add-ons.

I seriously think Juve have a challenge on their hands. Napoli are going to push you guys all the way. It would be pretty epic for Serie A if they won for the first time in ages. Nainggolan is a very good addition. 15 mil is a fair price for a deadline day deal.

Roma deny De Rossi-Verratti swap
By Football Italia staff

Roma have denied reports that they were in talks with Paris Saint-Germain to exchange Daniele De Rossi with Marco Verratti.

The stories emerged this morning that De Rossi would join Carlo Ancelotti in France, while Verratti would be reunited with his old Pescara Coach Zdenek Zeman.

“There has never been anything between PSG and Roma with regards to De Rossi’s situation,” assured director Walter Sabatini on Radio Montecarlo.

“There are no meetings planned for him or for Verratti.”

It is widely believed that Zeman was asked to reintroduce De Rossi to his Roma side as part of crisis talks with the club hierarchy this week.

Ligue 1 giants Marseille are understood to have rejected a bid for defender Rod Fanni from Stoke City, according to reports in France.

The 31-year-old powerful right-back has also been linked with a potential move to Everton and Sunderland.

The France international has Champions League experience during his time at Lens and was strongly linked with a move to Newcastle and West Ham before signing a contract extension at Rennes in 2009.

Fanni, who has been at the Stade Velodrome since 2011, is reportedly keen on joining the Potters but Marseille are holding out for more money.

The player told skysports.com: "I have been linked with English clubs for the past three years, but i am still in France.

"Yes I want to play in England but I have a contract here, unless the two clubs agree a fee, it is not in my hands.

"I want to play in the top league and return in the French squad."

Arsenal could make a late deadline day swoop for Everton’s Leighton Baines or Southampton’s Luke Shaw, according to French magazine Maxifoot.

The Gunners suffered a blow last night with the news that Kieran Gibbs will miss at least three weeks through injury, a move which forced Wenger to bring on the little used Andre Santos in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

Wenger though is not convinced by the Brazilian and could move for either Baines or Shaw, if Everton or Southampton will listen to offers.

The Frenchman has insisted he has money to spend this month, but he so far kept his powder dry, stressing the need for quality and not quantity.

A swoop for Baines or Shaw, with the Everton man considered amongst the best left-backs in England, while Shaw has been marked out for great things, would be welcomed by the Gunners faithful.

However, the clock is ticking down to the closing of the transfer window and it will be a tough task for Wenger to snatch either away.

Were the Arsenal manager able to pull off a deal for either though, it could be the coup of transfer deadline day.

Stoke City have tabled a £4m bid to bring highly-rated goalkeeper Jack Butland to the Britannia Stadium, according to Sky Sports sources.

The Birmingham No.1 turned down a move to European champions Chelsea earlier in the week over fears he will not play regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge.

And despite reported interest from Fulham, Tony Pulis seems determined to bring the 19-year-old, who made his international debut in England's 2-1 win over Italy in August, to the club.

The Potters boss currently has Asmir Begovic and Thomas Sorensen at his disposal already and if Butland does make the move to Stoke, the club could loan him back to Birmingham for the rest of the season.

The shot-stopper has also been linked with Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester City, while Southampton and Everton attempted to sign him last summer.

-------------------

Fulham have been in touch with Ajax over a possible move for Cameroon international midfielder Eyong Enoh.

----------------------

Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has revealed on Twitter that he is on his way to Germany for a medical, with Hoffenheim his expected destination.

--------------------

Sunderland have agreed a fee in the region of £5million with Swansea for striker Danny Graham.

--------------------

Edinson Cavani has declared himself happy at Napoli but said interested clubs should not be put off by the huge price tag over his head if they were serious about signing him.

Cavani has been linked with several clubs - including Arsenal, Manchester City and Juventus - after emerging as a world class forward over the past few seasons with Napoli.

The Serie A club have said they will not accept less than the 63million euro (£54million) release clause in the 25-year-old's contract, but that has not dampened the speculation.

And in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Cavani said the release clause should not deter anyone who was serious about signing him.

"If a club has a clear project and they want to focus on me, they can't be frightened in front of this figure," he said.

"For now, I'm not thinking about [my future]," he added. "Then it will be up to the club to take into consideration what should be done..."

Cavani added that he would first speak to Napoli before making any decision.

"I am happy here," he said. "Napoli have given me a lot and I am trying to repay them. We'll talk about it."

Napoli are three points behind Juve in second place, but Cavani is confident they can close that gap.

"We have a big chance [to win the title] and we cannot ignore that," he said. "The numbers show that the Scudetto is within our reach.

"We can go all the way and we will do our utmost to make it happen. Even more so than Juventus, we are very hungry for success, just like they were last term.

"We are incredibly motivated. The team is focused on the task at hand and we want to make this dream come true. We are showing that we have the determination to win the title.

"It all depends on ourselves now. We will have to realise that nothing is impossible for us."

----------------------

Sky Sports sources understand that former England captain David Beckham is to have a medical at Paris St Germain ahead of a possible move to the Ligue 1 club.

--------------------

Internacional have admitted striker Leandro Damiao could leave the club for Tottenham but negotiations would have to be swift in order to beat the deadline.

With Emmanuel Adebayor still on international duty with Togo at the Africa Cup of Nations, Jermain Defoe is currently Tottenham's only fit senior striker.

That has prompted speculation Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas could bolster his forward line in January, with 23-year-old striker Damiao believed to be top of his shortlist.

Damiao, rated at £20million, has impressed since joining Internacional in 2009 and was Brazil's top scorer at the London Olympics.

He has previously indicated that he was happy to stay at the club until after the World Cup in 2014, though would not completely rule out a move to Europe.

Internacional's president Giovanni Luigi has insisted no bid has been lodged by the Premier League club for Damiao, who has two-and-a-half years left on his contract.

However, he concedes there remains a possibility he could leave before Thursday's deadline, though talks would have to be swift.

"Leandro Damiao will only leave if there is a very quick negotiation," he told Correio do Povo. "But no official offer has been made."

Internacional director of football Luis Cesar Souto de Moura confirmed Tottenham's interest in the striker, but thinks it is unlikely any deal will be completed in January.

"The news involving interest for Leandro Damiao, especially from Tottenham, will always happen, they come and go," he told Terra.

"Damiao has a lot of quality, is a goalscorer, was the top scorer in the Olympics and he is a very important player.

"Internacional understand that it's extremely difficult, very difficult, for Leandro Damiao to leave now."

-------------------

Sky Sports sources understand Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson is set to join West Ham, with Hammers shot-stopper Stephen Henderson moving in the other direction.

------------------

Valenciennes president Jean-Raymond Legrand claims that he is talking with three Premier League clubs about a deal for Nicolas Isimat-Mirin.

Reports from across the Channel claim that Legrand was at Fulham on Wednesday night for their game with West Ham United - ahead of talks over his star asset.

Legrand has now claimed that he has held talks with Fulham, West Ham and Newcastle over the central defender - but as part of the deal they want him to remain with the club until next summer.

"We are now discussing with West Ham, Fulham and Newcastle," he told RMC.

"We have set a requirement to keep the player until June. But should he leave, in this case, we will consider recruiting a player."

Reports have also claimed that Isimat-Mirin's team-mate Gaeton Bong could also be a Deadline Day target for a number of Premier League clubs.

----------------

West Ham midfielder Alou Diarra has agreed to link up with Rennes on a six-month loan deal.

-------------------

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestone has spoken with Fulham and all sides are now waiting on an update.

The Cottagers are eager to bring in reinforcements on deadline day, with a deal for AC Milan's Urby Emanuelson believed to be on the cards.

It is possible that Huddlestone could also be on his way in, with a short trip from White Hart Lane to Craven Cottage still in the pipeline.

No agreement has been put in place as yet, though, and Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas admits he is unsure as to whether a transfer will be pushed through.

He said: "There was an interest from Fulham. I'm not sure if they're going to follow on that interest.

"We've allowed the club to speak to the player. He's a player we rate very highly."

Villas-Boas revealed after Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Norwich that he does not expect there to be too much activity at White Hart Lane on Thursday, but he is keeping all of his options open.

He said: "It's not impossible that a couple of things happen. It's highly unlikely.

"We need to add quality to the squad and our quality to the squad is keeping the players we have now and Lewis (Holtby) arriving."

Younes Belhanda's move from Montpellier to Fenerbahce appears to have collapsed, reviving speculation he could make a move to the Premier League.

The Morocco international had agreed terms with the Turkish outfit and was ready to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

However, the two clubs have reportedly failed to come to an agreement over a transfer fee, with the French champions holding out for £12million plus bonuses.

That has sparked speculation over a possible move to England, with north London duo Arsenal and Tottenham heavily linked with the 22-year-old.

Italian giants Inter Milan were also linked with Belhanda earlier in the transfer window, though they denied making a formal offer.

Belhanda has confirmed talks between Fenerbahce and Montpellier have stalled; indicating that he may stay in France should the deal not go ahead.

"The two clubs have been talking," he said. "If they do not agree anything I can't do anything.

"I will stay and finish the season."

They missed out on Didier Drogba and Fernando Llorente won't arrive until the summer, so Serie A champions Juventus have been scouring the transfer market for a striker to join them in January.

It looks like they might have found their man according to Italian football expert James Horncastle: "It's Fabio Quagliarella's 30th birthday and he can cry if he wants to do.

Why? Because even though he's Juventus' top scorer this season [with seven goals], there are reports that the club are prepared to use him as a makeweight in an attempt to convince Parma to let go of their highly regarded 21-year-old striker Ishak Belfodil, a player often likened to Karim Benzema because of his Algerian heritage and Lyon past."

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has reaffirmed his desire to remain at Anfield, despite interest from some of Europe's big spending clubs.

The 26-year-old has bagged an impressive 43 goals in 84 appearances since joining the club from Ajax in January 2011.

And the Uruguay international - who penned a new deal at the club in the summer - says he feels 'at home' on Merseyside and plans to stay with the Reds for 'a very long time'.

He told the club's official website: "I hope (to be at Liverpool) for a very long time because it's a massive club that kids dream about playing for.

"I've been very proud to be at a club like Liverpool and to have made the decision to come here. In two years I've lived through some spectacular and very special moments that I will never, ever forget.

"There have been a few difficult times as well, but with the support of my family, the club and the fans, things have gone well for me.

"I do feel at home here. When I'm out and about, all I get is support and encouragement from the local people and that's very important, and when I come here to the club I feel like people have known me all my life. That also helps a great deal to making me feel so at home.

"I hope to be able to help out the team for as long as I possibly can while trying do something to make the club and the fans very happy."

Aston Villa are set to complete a deal to sign midfield enforcer Yacouba Sylla from Ligue Two outfit Clermont Foot.

The former France Under-21 international arrived at the club's Bodymoor Heath training ground on Thursday morning and successfully passed his medical ahead of his proposed £2million move.

Manager Paul Lambert sees the combative player as the perfect signing to bolster his midfield and provide protection to his fragile backline.

The Villa boss, who spent £23million on new signings last summer, only has limited funds available in this window, but is working alongside chief executive Paul Faulkner to make sure the deal goes through before the 11pm deadline.

A statement on the club's official website said: "The 22-year-old midfield player has passed a medical and only the formalities remain, with both clubs due to finalise paperwork before Sylla's registration is lodged with the Premier League and the transfer receives international clearance.

"He will train tomorrow (Friday) at Bodymoor Heath with his new team-mates and will be eligible to play against Everton on Saturday at Goodison Park."

The club are currently sitting in the Premier League relegation zone after suffering a fourth successive home defeat to Newcastle on Tuesday.

El Desmarque are reporting that Sevilla have rejected a €14m bid - they don't have a replacement lined up and are focussed on preparing for their cup semi-final against Atletico Madrid tonight.

"And on Merseyside, the Liverpool Echo are quoting Negredo's agent Juanma Lopez, who says that the deal is "impossible." Looks like Everton have left it too late."
