Where did he deserve a sending-off?

So that's how it works?
I go with the rule book I'm automatically wrong because the referee didn't have the balls to send him off?
There's supposed to be no contact in the box during set pieces. The amount of times Lichtsteiner decided to man-handle the Celtic player (name escapes me) even after his yellow card, was very lucky not to get sent off. He should of been shown the second yellow.

If Juve would do the same b*tching, after a Serie A match, our whole staff and squad would already be banned

Re: Celtic out to get Juve
he's just putting pressure on the referee for the return leg.
so that if we man mark them again...they get their precious penalty. and we don't man mark them they seek to score from corners.
you heard it here first...they will get that penalty in Turin...just for consolation.

I saw the game on tape... it is a bit disgraceful. Juve parked the bus lol. Usually when you are not the aggressive team, you don't get favorable calls. In this case, Juve played anti-football and got all the calls. It is pretty strange but not unexpected since i'm sure UEFA want Juve to continue.

Re: Celtic out to get Juve
This is getting a bit old tbh.If you are going to whine about shirt pulling/tugging then might as well call Inter's CL victory undeserved as they seemed to do it in just about every game in the knockouts.
Atleast what Lichtsteiner did wasnt in the run of play hence you cant award a penalty according to the rules when the ball isnt in play, plus he was cautioned alright and whether or not he should've been sent off is another debate. It was dirty though,i'm not denying it.People talking out of their asses as usual.

Re: Celtic out to get Juve
The shirt pulling is a curse, cause its hard to spot in a crowded area for a limited time. When you play in the CL though, theres a number of different refs from numerous leagues with different ideas on how strictly one should be within different areas of the games, and it might differ some with the refereeing in Serie A.
Still, a ref is an individual, and I always feel that its weird for 1 person to have so much control over a teams progress in such an important tournament with a lot of money involved. Im specially thinking in terms of bribery etc. The refs coming from the smaller leagues earn jack sh1t, no?
It was brave of Lichsteiner to be that intense with a yellow card and the whole world watching him, including the ref. It was "in the air" that another card could arrive, but since he most of the time just pushed him with his chest, having his arms far stretched from the opponent, he just managed to keep that pressure. Extremely well done, and perhaps a bit foolish considering a ref might just have given the penalty and a red card out of pure pressure from the crowd, Celtic players etc.
I am eager to see if Uefa is gonna favour Celtic in the return leg, now that they are portrayed as victims. Red cards, penalties, unexpected drama?

He was on a yellow and was continuing with more aggressive and reckless grabbing and holding. If I'm right both these offences are yellow cards in repetition and Leich was doing this throughout the game. Second yellow. Off you go son. Terrible Spanish refereeing...
