Only seen him a few times I think, wouldn't say he's top 3. Not ahead of Xavi, Iniesta, Modric etc etc.

Not top 3... but immense talent. He can get there in a few years.

He's definitely better than Modric
He dominated him home and away, so much so Mou had to take him off

Real Madrid dominated both matches imo. We had more chances and possession in both games. If Gundogan dominated Modric, then he dominated Alonso too, since they played together.

Not top3, not even close, but better than Modric already imho. MVP at Dortmund atm, weird as it sounds. They really looked a lot worse in every match he didn't play.

No not top 3, far from it, but he definitely has the potential to be a top 3 CM in the next couple of years.

Modric? What in the world are you on about? Several CMs better than Modric who already has been exposed for the flop he is at Madrid.
And Dortmund dominated Madrid literally both legs Gündoğan is a mile ahead.
OT: And no Gündoğan isn't better than Cabaye. The Turk has world class technical ability yet needs to learn how to further dominate games and avoid getting overrun like he has too many times this season. He has all the traits to become a world class CM as shown by his skills, yet the difference between him and Sahin was how to control and dictate play. Cabaye has proven more by carrying a poor midfield on his back along with a wider array of skillsets

Arq has spoken wisely.
Technically Gündogan is German, not Turkish, though. But I know what you mean.

Top talent, has the potential to become one of the best in his position. I just hope the "Klopp or Flopp" theorem doesn't apply to him

Why on earth do you always have to pidgeon-hole players/clubs in Top 3, Top 5, Top Whatever? İlkay Gündoğan is a very useful and valuable player for Dortmund and they are better off with him than without him. So.

BTW Gündogan is already delivering for Germany, so unlike Sahin, he has already worked outside Dortmund, and done so well.

What? Sahin is excellent for Turkey. Not much debate about that.
Sahin also was injury plagued at Real Madrid and received little chance there and don't get me started in Liverpool where despite mixed performances and being played out of position, he was being ostracised for no reason.

you did not. you did nothing with your possession. it was like us against milan. in the first 3 halves anyway. last half was a bit better, but only because they chose to defend so deep.

Yeah 4th half was all Madrid imho, but to say anything other than Dortmund dominated the first 3 halves is just utter denial. Sorry.
