Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
I watched 2 games tonight.
Sydney very frustrating again. Much better team for first 15 then conceded with bad defending from Fabio.
Inspirational goal from ADP, but then bad defending again on a cross where ball was allowed to go to feet somehow through about 4 Syd defenders...
Fabio then sent off in 2nd half (can't tackle to save his life, just fouls) and end of the game was a bit of a struggle.
Neither team really holding down midfield.
You can have as many Neills in defence, and as many Del Pieros up front, but a mid of Triantis and McFlynn will never win you games...
WSW and CCM was a good game. Both teams organised well and could have gone either way.

6 months ago I wouldn't want to leave. Things have changed recently and now the only thing holding me here is uni. I could very much see myself moving on once I finish honours.
Did I mention there are lots of really attractive girls in Melbourne.
Dos you lucky man.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
On Thursday I believe after we had a big snow storm which dropped about 12 inches on us (and later a couple more), the national news (Today Show) showed a brief clip of my hometown Manitowoc, Wisconsin! They were talking about the snow storm and said "In Manitowoc, Wisconsin they got up to 6 inches of snow from this storm..." and said something about people shoveling as it showed clips of people shoveling.
At first I was like but then I was like we got more than twice that amount.
Still was pretty sweet.

New Zealand is wonderful in its own right. (is a New Zealander.)
Melbourne is delightful in a different way.
I prefer New Zealand though

Manitowoc is a hilarious name. Nearly as funny as Rooty Hill.

At the moment it's pretty good. March is when it all happens in Adelaide. There are heaps of concerts and festivals on. After that it's dead.mr-r34 wrote:Forza Rossoneri wrote:Adelaide is still a nice place to live, but, yeah.Kick wrote:I am back from Melbourne and I gotta say, there is no Contest. Adelaide sucks.

Manitowoc a hilarious name?
Been here my whole life, it sounds incredibly normal to me but that's expected. Plus there are a lot of areas around here that sound similar. Oconomowoc for example
Funny sounding? Aussies pls, more like badass. The great spirit of Chen dwells here.
In 2010 Manitowoc was ranked number 2 in a list of the best small cities to raise a family in the USA by Forbes.
Not sure how much you guys care lol but obviously I'm proud of my home

Purported to mean dwelling of the great spirit, Manitowoc derived its name from either the Anishinaabe language word manidoowaak(wag), meaning spirit-spawn(s), or manidoowaak(oog), meaning spirit-wood(s).

It just sounds like Man-eat-a-wok. As in, a guy eating an frypan. That being said, Australia has some of the funniest sounding names in the world. Wagga Wagga, etc..
