Except he's spent the past month injured and this was his first start since Liverpool but yeah keep point scoring. What did you expect him to do yesterday in that ridiculous setup btw? We played for a point rather than actually attempting to win the damn game.

He was excellent against Newcastle and Swansea. Had assists against Tottenham and Southampton

maybe because Iniesta has won Spain the world cup, was their best player in the Euros, was one of Barcelonas best players in their best period. Cesc is the man that single handedly derailed Barcelona Laughing

Iniesta is also playing 'badly' because he was being asked to cover the full backs and was not invlved in the build up play. The same thing with Cesc being played as a cm at Barcelona and further away from goal. If Iniesta is a fraud, Cesc is a murderer.

Iniesta is doing the things now that Cesc never did. He is covering the left side behind Alba in defense - much more then being in a attacking position. He is doing exactly just what Cesc always failed to do: provide in attack and defense. When Rafinha played the first time instead of Iniesta we conceded two goals on the left flank. Laughing

Iniesta is having a great season despite his stats.

Anyway this fraud stuff is utter nonsense, just like it is with Falcao. Because he's not performing now doesn't change the fact he was top 2 midfielder for over 5 years.

He's had a shit season irrespective of stats but having 0 assists at this stage of the season is beyond hilarious considering the lofty heights his fanboys hype him up to.

I disagree with the notion Iniesta has more defensive duties btw. You forget Hazard plays in a Mourinho team, he's adapted well to his LWB role. Laughing

Modric' job and positioning don't involve making assists other than by accident... his job is to link the defense to the AM/forwards and cover his side defensively.

I don't think many understand the differences between DM, B2B, CM and CAM AND how each differs depending on the system...

What an absolute pile of nonsense, Barca struggled in practically every big game Iniesta missed in the Pep period including the Inter loss where Xavi struggled mightily without his Buddy.
