How long before Gotze surpasses Iniesta?

Simple question, how long do you think it will take Gotze to surpass Iniesta (if you think he will at all)?

I assume most of you will choose Iniesta. Im actually more interestrd in how long you thibk it will take Gotze to surpass him.

I think he's got a lot to do to reach Iniesta's level. let alone surpass him. Has he performed for his country in major tournaments? Won CL's with his club? Be voted as a top midfielder consistently? There's a lot of things.

To be fair, he also doesnt have Messi around him at club level, and has just broken into the NT XI recently so hasnt really had a chance at a big tourney. And when has Iniesta ever been voted best player of a tourney? Im not saying Gotze is better, but i dont think it will take long at all for him to surpass him either.

Gotze will hardly surpass iniesta.
It will really depend on where he goes to and how Germany do(will he ever even be a starter?).
I think he only has a chance if he goes to Madrid/Barca

Please tell me. And please dont tell me the Euro, where he was only voted that because Spain won, even though Pirlo was without a doubt the best.

When Gotze is 29 I'm sure he will be considered one of the best CAMs as well. At the moment this comparison is disrespectful to Iniesta but surely in 9 years Gotze has shown enough potentially that we can say he will great.

He didnt exactly look immense from what i saw against malaga. Difficult to say how good he will be but he doesnt remind me of iniesta, he seems more powerful but not as classy. I can see him being more a forward than a midfielder, more direct and potential to score goals, less good at passing and control

At 20 Iniesta wasn't even close to how good Gotze is at 20. So let's not say this is completely out of proportion.

So you guys don't think that Gotze will surprass Iniesta ? In terms of productivity and influence on the pitch I think he is already better. It remains to see how many trophies Gotze he will get, but I'm sure that in a couple of years he'll be compared to Messi not Iniesta.

As good as he is, he is no where near Iniesta, light-years apart in fact.

Well if he is supposed to do it then it would be in four years time when he will be 25 years old he should be better than a 33 year old Iniesta.
