How long before Gotze surpasses Iniesta?

Well if he is supposed to do it then it would be in four years time when he will be 25 years old he should be better than a 33 year old Iniesta.

Can't really say goatzil didn't pull his weight when it's matter though, at the very least more often than not. Like scored and assisted in the semis vs Bayern last year, crucial part in the build up of winning goal vs United this year, set up the goal vs Dortmund that gave a little hope in the last 10 minutes among several chances he created in 2nd leg, etc
But then again in such crucial matches the whole team need to show up, not just certain players. Not even Ronaldo managed to show up when it's matter when the team not really showing up.

Our whole team for the most part have been poor or sub-par this season.. His skill-set, potential, whatever, is higher than Gotze's IMO

Well he has surpassed Iniesta in one thing already - on being a complete douchebag. As for footballing abilities, nope. As Swagg said he has to surpass other players first to reach a level that is Iniesta.
