LOL at Thiago snubbing Man Utd in favor of Bayern, where he will join the most ridiculously stacked midfield in recent memory.

Was going to come back on GL and say the same thing about Gustavo. I never believed the rumors about Arsenal going in for him months ago, but now if they resurfaced it would be more believable.

Not that Thiago & Gustavo are the same kind of player exactly. But someone will surely need to leave.

Take note. THAT is the kind of squad depth and quality which will win you a treble. *sigh*

You want to sign a CDM from the current CL champions... that's tantamount to saying you want a new CDM in the starting XI.

It seems Jovetic to City is imminent. Though it pains me to say it, because I really like Bon Jovi as a footballer, I'll keep my fingers crossed he flops in England. And then gets sold to a team in another league where he dramatically resurrects his career & tears things up.

Still can't get my head around what Man City have been doing with transfers, both this summer and last. I'm not even saying this summer's acquisitions have been bad ... but they've definitely been expensive.

It has never hurt any team challenging for top 4 to have 3 quality CM/DM's rotating for the double pivots.

Amazulu 2-1 Manchester City Laughing
------------------------------------

I know it's just a friendly, but both games, "title bound" City had £100 million worth of talent on the pitch and couldn't beat the easiest cannon fodder served up to them on a silver platter, while "Average" Arsenal have scored 14 goals in their last two friendlies hmm

Pellegrini could try playing with Nasri in goal if he so wished, there is absolutely NO way they should be losing these games. Not when they start names like Dzeko, Yaya and Milner, as well as their entire first team back 4. And certainly not two games on the trot
