Bale was disastrous when he was played on the right under Arry. Besides, the track record of Britishers in foreign leagues is not good.

Neymar will obviously be more successful.

Bale is already a success. EPL player of the year and great season. There's no "if" with him. Who is going to be more successful with their new clubs? Bale in the short term and then we'll see if Neymar adapts.

Bale needs to do what he did this season for at least another season. Ronaldo had a few seasons where he scored a lot of goals and then Real Madrid bought him.

Both would have good La Liga campaigns. Their European ventures would be their litmus test and in that regard, Neymar would have the more difficult run. Bale is already accustom to such an ordeal. Neymar, not so much...

Except I never said Ronaldo would flop.

CR7 is on another planet in comparison to Bale.

Buying Bale for 60m to "fill in holes" or experiment in him playing on the right would be stupid and he will flop hard.

Bale proved that he can play on top level in biggest league in the world, Neymar proved that he can't do nothing on national stage when there's some more respectable team. Anyways it will be interesting seeing how would they develop if Bale goes to Real Madrid
