Two confirmed possible opponents so far for us in CL play-off: Paços de Ferreira & Real Sociedad.

Lyon, Zenit, PSV, Metalist Kharkiv, Fenerbahce, Red Bull Salzburg, Nordsjaelland, Grasshopper, winner of Superleague Greek play-off & Zulte Waregem play each other in 3rd qualifying round. Five winners qualify to play-off stage.

Arsenal will know their 5 possible opponents in the CL play-off on Aug 7th, after 3rd qualifying round 2nd legs.

Hopefully we get Pacos

worst thing is not opponent but a PL game sandwiched between to qualifiers legs

btw why do people want pacos? they have been great this season in Portugal, and are underrated, exactly the team i do not want us to face, we'd probably underestimate them and lose

None of those teams worry me at all. Fenerbahce would be a difficult away trip but we've always played well in those sorts of games and at home you'd expect us to be comfortable favourites. Sociedad and PSV would be the same.

It's difficult to judge competition at the moment, though, since many things can change in the summer. Our squad could very well be a lot better than anyone's in the qualifying stage, while the likes of Pacos and Sociedad could easily have their better players poached after a great season and may not even find that sort of form again (Montpellier are a good example of this).

Udinese was difficult a couple of seasons back since we were in absolute disarray. Every other time we've done this we've always progressed comfortably.

This time on Wednesday we'll know our 5 potential Champions League play-off round draw opponents. Draw at 11am on Friday.
