Di Marzio says the clubs have reached a loan agreement but Marco is likely to turn down the offer as he wants to stay at Chelsea.

Confirmed by Di Marzio. Says Marco ultimately said yes to the offer and will arrive in Italy in the next few hours to complete the switch.

Says he landed in the city moments ago and his on his way to a hotel with his agent and club officials.

Confirmed by the club.

Great deal for him tbh, He'll be a sure starter for the next 6 months and if he plays well in that time, he'll keep starting after then.

Have to say, I'm really very unhappy with this decision from the club.


The state our squad is in, we needed a CM kept back more than a AM. Salah should have been the one out, not Kinky.

Why? I feel we have enough depth there.

Cesc, Matic, Ramires, Mikel, Oscar, Baker and Ake can all potentially play there. Plus we'll still have RLC in the youth setup + others.

He needs to be special at milan for me to see him back at Chelsea unfortunately. It could go the Courtois or Lukaku route, shines enough where we guarantee him minutes, or could go the Lukaku route where he could have a good season but would rather stay at Milan and be a regular rather then be at Chelsea as a sure squad player.

I can see him returning, a solid season will see him back with us as a back up.

I also fear for his role with us after he does return. Next summer we'll more than likely again be trying to sign a superstar CM like Pogba, etc. and MvG will be pushed further down an already increasingly lengthy pecking order. Such a thing would mean Fabregas, Matic, and said prospective new big-name CM all being above him, as well as the likes of Ramires being held in higher regard by Mourinho than he'd be. Barring a massive breakout season at Milan, that will leave him in a pretty peripheral position - one I'm not sure he'll be all that content to accept.

Yeah maybe he is not a wuss like Lukaku and be afraid of competition. Mou really likes him so he has a better chance then Lukaku

But you never know if he is a regular at Milan, he might want to stay there, and which i don't blame him since it might best for his development.

Ugh so unfortunate he got injured last season, with that midfield last season he would have played so much more as the season went on.

This is just what I was going to bring up next too. With that piss-poor midfield he could really have made a statement had he not gotten injured so early on. Shame.

Hopefully his injury didn't cost him a future at Chelsea, hoping he has a special year.

We're are claiming anything definitively, just suggesting possible scenarios resulting from this loan.
