Similarly for example like Hamsik who I just dont get to watch often enough but the times I seen him in the poast season also, I udnerstand the reason for all the praises. But Jovetic I havent, and now that hes going to MAn C, of cos I would be interested to know
Thanks in advance.

Re: Stevan Jovetic
Thanks and sounds hugely exciting then. Sounds like a very good replacement for Tevez who does a lot of those things and creating chances as well as scoring goals. Good luck to him at MAn C and good luck to all of Man C next season, I hope they rape Man U

Re: Stevan Jovetic
Barcalearning: if you're expecting him to "replace" Tevez, you may be disappointed. He's not nearly as pacy or clinical from what I've seen. What he is is a more creative forward who also scores goals. I would be shocked to see him lead the line. That will likely be Negredo or Aguero. He's far more likely to play as a second striker in that advanced #10 spot or as a LW/LF.

Thx red, I understand and arent mistaken. I rate Tevez but know that he also has his weakness, which is hes very well rounded but not elite in either in terms of scoring and creating clear chances consistently. At least that was the case last season or so. I remember when Messi and Tevez were considered equal about 5-6 years back, and while Tevez always tries his best hes never reached that level.
Anyway, glad to know Jovetic can specialise on the left side which is what Man C need, and definitely if its 1 striker, that striker will be getting good service from Jovetic, Silva, Nasri, etc Although thinking about it, all 3 are not exactly very pacey, but very skilled and creative, and looking like they will look to link with Aguero or Negredo, and if Navas is on and if Jovetic or the left back or someone can get crosses in, use Dezko/Negredo. If that happens, im sure Man C will be much improved then they were under Mancini.

Re: Stevan Jovetic
I'm so disappointed Jovetic is going to Man City - I was really excited when there were all the links to Arsenal a while back, his versatility and skill would have been great for us. Man City fans, you've got a terrific player on your hands, still young, who just might prove to be a massive asset this season and beyond.
He's not really a prolific or clinical finisher but he's just really good at most facets of play. Capable of great technique but also scrappy poacher's goals. He can play on the flank, or as a #10, or lead the line. And he didn't try to bust out of Fiorentina the first chance he got ... he bided his time, waited out interest from a lot of elite clubs, and became a leader for Fiorentina. He's mature, mentally. I think in some ways, as an attacker coming from Serie A to the Premier League, he represents a classic bit of transfer market gambling, but of all Man City's summer signings so far he has the highest talent ceiling IMO. Could be a real coup.
I hope Jovetic continues on to an awesome career ... just hope he flops in the PL and heads elsewhere first!

Re: Stevan Jovetic
Mancini's man management, or lack of it, for that matter, has actually left City with a less effective front line. I rate Jovetic, but he's not better than Balotelli.
Negredo is ok - but not as good as Dzeko. Aguero is Aguero. He'll make sh!t happen, for sure.
My guess is that Jovetic - after Aguero - has been virtually promised a starting birth. Lets see how it develops

He brings such a warm bench to City, I haven't seen such a bench warmer since Nasri.

I'm kinda hoping he'll stay at City and break the record for the most ostracized player ever.

Re: Stevan Jovetic
yes, same question I was writing
anyway how sad to see this talent on bench or do not know where ... he would play anywhere. if he wants to go back to Italy ....

As a City fan, its never great to see an expensive signing being benched but Ive grown used to it. Its Pellegrinis fault.

Re: Stevan Jovetic
Or maybe Jovetic doesnt look very good in training, sulks too much, lost confidence, isnt used to being the second option? wouldnt be the first guy in that situation tbh

No, he would have more chances to play in Juve than Arsenal. he is not exactly a centerforward and he is better than Quagliarella,Vucinic,Giovinco ...

Already 19 goals and 5 assists in all comps this season
Edit: 19 goals for club and country [15+4].

Re: Stevan Jovetic
Only person to blame is himself. Why would an injury prone player join a club with 3 £20m+ strikers in front of him. It's not as if Pellegrini is in the wrong to leave him out of the team either.
