Anyway Gil, while Fabregas has been great in the league, I think the issue is that he brings is that he throws a tactical "wrench" into Barcelona's whole game plan. It usually is mostly exposed when playing games where the opposition is more of a test to Barcelona. But labeling him "2nd best player" isn't that ludicrous to me...

Saying Koscielny is the best CB in the EPL is by no means an embarrassment to one's statement nor EPL. He genuinely is a world class CB as there is a reason he was picked from a Ligue 2 side by Wenger. If he manages to eliminate those instances of lapses that either range from his slight anxiety or lack of focus, then he can develop into not only an Arsenal legend, but one for the Premier League.

Mertesacker also deserves a hearty mention for his excellence and consistency.

Xavi may not be the player he was before, however Fabregas doesn't fit the Xavi role from before/now.

In terms of Iniesta, he's better than Fabregas.

Cesc is going nowhere, as predicted he'll slowly replace Xavi in the national team and Barcelona as much as Barca fans don't want to believe it, it's happening.

I've also heard good things about Barca's new manager... in a more direct style of play Cesc is going to be amazing again.

Just because he doesn't fit in their bogus "system" doesn't mean he's trash. Look at Ibra.

Who cares if he doesn't fit in the Xavi role? Very few players do and that's not the only way to play as a midfielder.

Unless Tata is looking to drastically change Barca, and Cesc not happy, I just dont see it happen. Cesc have been vital to us and there is no reason at all for Barca to sell him. He will stay Im sure.
