Do u agree Liverpool should have let Reina go?

For the record, in case some think I'm just saying this now due to what's happened. This was my opinion on our GK's last September.

Goalkeepers: Weak. Reina has become a liability, Jones isn't great either. Still haven't made my mind up on Gulasci

And again for the record my opinion on Mignolet when Valdes said he wasnt renewing his contract for Barca.

Has Mignolet come up in this thread? He's been playing some great stuff and is still very young as goalkeepers go.

I wish I could agree with my brothas ICS & Messia but I cannot.

Personally in my experience of Mignolet, I have not seen enough from him to convince me that he is superior to Reina, regardless of Reina's poor form; the latter to which has been blown out of proportion.

All I have understood and experienced from Mignolet is that he has been in superior shot stopping form, yet hasn't reached the complete heights that Pepe Reina has.

Nontheless, Fillet Mignon has time on his side while all Pepe REALLY needed was a change of scenery and thats it.

Its very clear now thx to all Didnt know Reina dropped so much in standard, I wonder why and if it really could be lack of competition for his spot.

Anyway its all in the past now. Anyway I do agree with RedOj's bit on that GKs tend to get evaluated with a bit of bias becos they play for different teams and face pretty different situations and requires them to perform differently often.

Begovic has had a good 6 months of "top" PL quality. He then got linked to Man Utd and Liverpool and believed in his own hype or something that ruined his form. Reina has been shocking for 3 years. He started to show GLIMPSES of his past form post-March but to be fair, he did that twice under Dalglish only to be a liability again the next season. The constant talk to Barcelona would of triggered his exit.

A loan move was stupid, especially when Napoli have 130m(!) to spend this window but I guess it's better than him sitting on the bench crying about a lack of game time because well, he's not good enough any more. Mignolet will win Red over.
