Villarreal are in a very good form and besides us, Atleti and Barca so far have a 100% record in their opening three games. it is going to be very tough especially with Galatasay being our next opponent midweek

Four of our starters( Modric, Isco, Ronaldo and Marcelo) were released by their national team due to injuries. only Ronaldo out of that bunch has a chance of playing this weekend (what a fighter never wants to miss a single game) but I don't think we should risk him with that important CL game coming up. Its a pity both modric and isco got injured at the same time now it means Illaramendi will be starting something imo he is not ready for yet after being out for so long

we might line up like this if none of those can play:

Jese-Benz-Ronaldo/Morata

3 points please. Last time Castilla played Villarreal we won 5-0 with Jese getting a brace and morata also scoring

I haven't watched them this season but I hope they play highline like they did then. It will be suicide with the speed of Jese

I think we will drop points, injuried players coupled with FIFA virus will make it tough for us. Missing our best players so far (Isco and Modric) too vs Villareal is a death sentence

in other news the rest of the players seems to have come back healthy apart from Cacktrao who I think got a slight injury. Bale played about 30 mins without problems. I think he can make his debut vs Villarreal

Also Nacho got his debut for the NT and is the first Real Madrid player to do so since Raul Bravo in 2002 get in there you goat

I think it will be difficult, but Villareals defence has been a bit porous. Isco should be able to exploit Senna's wailing speed. This is the kind of game Modric should be able to shine. But our defence needs a bit of tightening. Ramos has been poor so far, he needs to pick it up.
Villareal is a team of small tricky attackers, who can cause us lots of problems. Probably a good game to start Coentrao and Nacho though I'm hearing that Coentrao got a slight knock in Brazil which leaves us with Arbeloa and Nacho as the fit duo.
Usually this is around the time CR decides to score a lot of goals. Hopefully this is the case here. He will be important especially at a place like El Madrigal.

looks like Modric is fit and training at full pace while Ronaldo and Isco are in a race against time to be fit for the weekend. Bale seems to have worked at full pace as well

Bale and Illaramendi are definitely coming on as subs though

I am more concerned with the LB spot. is cacktrao really injured?? because that will leave us playing Arbeloa or Nacho there, who aren't really LBs.

Modric picked up a knock too... but he will be fine.

Di Maria and Benzema are going to have to carry us more this game with all the knocks/injuries/lack of fitness.

But it all starts in the midfield. Without Isco, i am concerned.

Modric has recovered I think and if Isco can't make it I can see DiMaria playing in his spot like hr does for Argentina. Jese might start as the RAM and Ronaldo and Benzema up top

Jese is very familiar with this Villarreal side so I have no doubt he will do good

Jese is absolutely atrocious on the right... i mean gawd awful.  U19 Spain NT tried to play him there a couple of times in this summer's Euro and it was horrid.  He can't do it.  It's either left or central for him.

I think you'll see Casemiro as the holding mid in this one with Modric pushing into Isco's spot.  Di Maria plays the RW spot.

I know he didn't look particularly threatening as a RW then but they didn't have a decent striker anyways to the point he had to play as a number 9 on some occasions. He wasn't that threatening there for Castilla either but I know he will be better with the first team due to playing with players on his own wavelength

he played as our RAM against AlSadd and scored two goals and threatened alot. we are going to look so dysfunctional if both casemiro and khedira start because none of those two can attack leaving only modric to do all the hardwork

Nose Rodriguez... only player i have ever seen that has a bigger air handling unit than Ibra.

What a player he is.  Inexplicably, the Spain NT coach took him out at the 70 min mark of the Euro semis against France.  He was the best player on the team.  Good for my side... but i was shocked.  That turned the tide.  France took control of the game after he went out.

Arbeloa is another injured casualty meaning we are forced to play Nacho on the left. Atm we only have four fit defenders three of them being center backs

also carlo confirmed Bale will play on the right. I put my hand up and admit I was wrong who thought he would play next to Ronaldo

is it just me or does Carlos sense of openness really save us from media going on and on with their "inside" stories. He conformed Iker would be our starting against Gala (relying on that lucky sharm ) and there aren't any stories of butthurt and rifts.......yet

Illaramendi will start apparently, wonder if its in place of modric or khedira. imagine a midfield three of Illaramendi, modric and isco
