Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Just a few more. Then we can make the annual long-term-injured-XI again.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Ramsey out for 5-6 weeks.
Arteta out for 3 weeks
No news of Wilshere but his seems to be minor.
Season is over lol. Don't waste too much energy on Arsenal guys. Do something productive instead.

You know the season is heading towards parody territory when Diaby becomes your only choice in midfield.

Don't give up yet. Because you're forgetting one incredibly significant fact: The injury list does NOT include DIABY

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
My word.
Can't say we didn't see this coming but we're actually going to need Coquelin
He was impressive in the COC (coq*) so that's slightly reassuring but it just highlights how ridiculously badly we needed to invest more in the squad this summer.
Rosicky, Cazorla, (not counting Özil as he's played out wide)
Flamini, Diaby, Coquelin
Our options are getting banterous. Going to be giving Hayden a go at DM soon and the worst part is that he'll probably be an upgrade.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Wenger's press conference is on Tuesday, so we'll get some idea of the injuries then. But it seems we know the following:
Giroud & Debuchy - Christmas
Ramsey - 6 weeks
Arteta - 3 weeks
Walcott, Sanogo, Monreal & Gnabry - after international break
Wilshere - 1 week
Once again, our season is destroyed by injuries.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Aaron RAMSEY for #Arsenal has made the most passes (407), created most chances (13) & had most shots (15) in #EPL
Going to be missed for sure.

I disagree. Season starts now, the only upside of this no more 4-1-4-1 and back to winning formation 4-2-3-1.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
If we switch formation from 4-1-4-1 and get a win. Then Wenger switches the formation back. Why would injuries force a change?

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
I would be stunned if we didn't make any sort of change since the formation was made to fit both Ramsey and Wilshere.
Now that both/Ramsey are/is out, it wouldn't make sense to stick with it. We'll see.
Diaby-Flamini is on the way

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
We really have no choice but to change and Wenger would be crazy to to make the proper changes.
We still have the players to cover all the areas in the midfield. Thank god for international break, we really need this break.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
was going on the assumption that Wilshere had 'a knock'. And either way, with or without him, it's no longer an issue of forcing him into the XI at Ramsey's, and the team's expense, is what I'm saying. I did say both/Ramsey and is/are
But the only 'source' I see for Kos being out is Veysey who thinks Sanchez is being benched for 'disrupting our style of play'

Cynic in me says that it's a matter of time till Wilshere is down as well. But let's hope I am wrong.

Its time to call back Carl Jenkinson even if Kos is ok to play.
What are the rules of loaning out players, can we bring them back when we want?

Ok, I was just clarifying he isn't injured, or if he is its very short term.

I think there's a fee to pay for that. Could be wrong.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
It's very rare to recall loaned out players and I'm sure sometimes impossible, due to the clauses in the contract. I cannot remember the last time I've read that a player has been recalled in the middle of a loan.

I think we did recall Bellerin from Watford last season but its unlikely we will recall Jenks.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Wenger hints that Ramsey (min. 3 weeks) and Arteta could be back shortly after the international break.
Never been more relieved for two weeks of no club football. Gives Monreal and Sanogo time to recover as well.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
I think Ramsey's injury isn't as bad as thought
John Cross started the 6 weeks thing and he is often a mouthpiece(for b grade stuff).
Might be wishful thinking but Ramsey could be back after the international break against erm Sunderland?
