Difra: ‘Only Juve invest in Italy’
by Football Italia

Sassuolo Coach Eusebio Di Francesco sees only Juventus as investing in Italian talent, as he talks Marco Verratti, Simone Zaza and Domenico Berardi.

The 45-year-old was interviewed by Tuttosport and reflected on the development of one of his former players, Paris Saint-Germain's Verratti.

Consistently linked to Juventus, the Coach sees him as an example of the right target that Italian clubs should pursue.

“I moved Verratti back in front of the defence, because that's where he can exploit his technical and psychological traits at his best,” ‘Difra’ has explained today.

“He is not a trequartista, he doesn't have the pace and, most importantly, he never shoots.

“PSG came fishing from our poverty. There were offers from Juve and Napoli, but it was impossible to turn down the French call.

“We should be more daring. We should go after talents earlier, and the only team doing that is Juventus.

“Look at Paul Pogba. He brings together physical and technical attributes in a dazzling combination.

“He is a dominant player who inhibits his opponents. He's worthy of the Ballon d'Or.

“I don't know if he's worth €100m, but it's easy to shell out the cash after the player has been discovered.

“You've got to have the skill to find someone like that when he doesn't cost a thing.

“Juventus invested and waited. Not everything goes right, true, but this must be our philosophy.

“We must look for those who have potential and nurture them. We are preparing Berardi and Zaza for Juve.

“Berardi is pure technique and nerve, but with intelligence. I hope he stays this way.

“Zaza is anarchic and unpredictable, especially when it comes to scoring goals.

“If they go to Juventus, that's because the club considers them important.

“I think they are. Berardi is only 20-years-old, and he's been playing at high levels for the last three seasons.”
===
I love this guy, nice coach Eusebio

Juventus 'most popular in Europe'
By Football Italia staff

Data from a Swedish study, published in the Wall Street Journal, indicates Juventus are the most popular club remaining in the Champions League.

The fan-app Forza Football collected data from four million football fans across the continent, and found that the Bianconeri were the most popular team in 21 of 45 countries.

Perhaps unsurprisingly the Old Lady were Italy’s favourite team out of the 16 teams left in the competition, and presence of Pavel Nedved on the board could account for a strong following from the Czech Republic.

However, Juve also ranked very highly in Eastern Europe, with fans in Russia, Romania, Estonia and Albania giving the Bianconeri their backing.

The presence of former Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic seems to have influenced supporters in his homeland, with the club ranked most popular in Sweden and France.

Barcelona were the second-most favoured team after Juventus, with fans in 11 countries picking them as their favourites.

           Pereyra/vidal-Sturaro-Marchisio
            Pepe-Llorente/Matrri-Coman

‘I like Cavani and Verratti, but...’
by Football Italia

Director general Beppe Marotta speaks all-round about Juventus' mercato, touching on Edinson Cavani, Marco Verratti and Carlos Tevez.

The Bianconero executive released some statements earlier on today making it clear that Paul Pogba was off the market, but he later went on to examine several other options in the Old Lady's transfer market.

“Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani? He's an excellent player, he went there from Napoli with an incredible price-tag,” Marotta considered to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It's obvious that many teams would want him. Juventus would like an operation of that kind, but for now it's fantasy football.

“Bringing [Marco] Verratti back to Italy would be a source of pride. To be honest we talked with him, we negotiated with Pescara.

“But evidently we weren't in a condition to negotiate for every player. On that occasion we made a decision and picked up Pogba.

“Given the option, of course we'd have purchased them all.”
Juventus were linked in the recent past with Radamel Falcao, and Marotta admits they were close to a deal.

“He was incredibly close to us at one point. Now things have changed, it's a different scenario.

“Falcao is a top player, of course he has a high market value, as well as a substantial salary. He's a good player.

“Today it would be premature to discuss how our team will be set up in the future, but we're evaluating many opportunities.”

Finally, Marotta turned to some of the players already within the Bianconeri rank and file.

“We have an excellent relationship with [Carlos] Tevez. The player integrated himself from day one not only in the formation, but also in the Juventus mentality.

“He absorbed our history, our prestige and our trophies, which we wanted to renew with him at Juventus by winning the Scudetto immediately.

“We did it, and Tevez is now a fantastic professional and we have the same deal with him that we do with [goalkeeper Gianluigi] Buffon.

“When he wants to stop playing for Juventus we will do our best to respect his wishes.

“But for now that condition does not subsist and we will do our best to keep him for as long as possible.

“As for Buffon himself, the only name I can give you to replace him someday is [Nicola] Leali [currently on-loan to Cesena].

“Buffon can cover the role for many years. As long as he wants to play, he'll keep playing.

“Players like Buffon, [Claudio] Marchisio and [Giorgio] Chiellini, who demonstrated their loyalty and their sense of belonging, are the real treasure of Juventus, along with the Italian players.”

Call his head for what? Taking Pirlo,Llorente,Licht,Vidal,Barzagli,Pogba, Tevez for nothing? Not selling any of our star players like Roma do? For getting the best U21 player from the squad of Spain and getting him for 20 million in Juve with right RM to buy him back for 30-35mil plus pay us every bonus and salary? Making strong bench? Sure he saved some money but let's face it those money were used to raise Pogba's salary and keep him here. Signing Conte and Allegri? Bringing home 3-4 scudetti in a row?

Also Our jersey's for next season

The second one is SEX

17:04 - NOTHING SERIOUS FOR VIDAL - In today's session, Arturo Vidal has undergone a slight bruise in the back that does not affect its presence for the match against Roma. In fact, the Chilean tomorrow should train regularly and then Allegri will choose whether to play against the Giallorossi. Also regarding the choice is up to the technician Pogba Livorno. In today's session - reports Sky Sports - Arturo Vidal has suffered a contusion to the back, but it is not anything serious, and tomorrow the Chilean will train regularly.

Elkann: 'Juve should have won'

Fiat president and Agnelli family member John Elkann says a victory against Roma would have been preferable, while looking ahead to the Champions League game.

The Bianconeri managed to hold their title-contenders down to 1-1 on Monday evening, but the Italian businessman was not content with the result.

“I saw it and we played an excellent game, especially in the second half,” he said to La Gazzetta dello Sport in Geneva, on occasion of the launch of the Ferrari 488 GT.

“But I would have preferred a victory, especially when you consider the way the match was going.

“In any case, well done to both the teams. We took one step closer to the Scudetto.

“As for the Champions League, we started well in the Last 16, playing an outstanding game.

“Things are going to get tough in Germany now. But I believe in the team.”

from what I read, yeah.

The 0-0 draw with Chievo was overshadowed by a horrific injury for Federico Mattiello, who suffered a double fracture of tibia and fibula.

Mattiello surgery tonight
by Football Italia

Federico Mattiello should undergo surgery tonight with Juventus and Chievo medics after a horrific injury.
The 19-year-old fractured his tibia and fibula during today’s 0-0 draw with Roma.

Owned by Juve and joining Chievo on loan in January, the two clubs united to analyse the X-rays and discuss how to proceed.

Juventus sent Doctor Tencone, the co-ordinator of the medical staff, to the Negrar Hospital in Verona to visit Mattiello.

It’s reported the surgery will be tonight at 20.30 GMT after earlier rumours it would be on Monday morning.

The good news is that there does not appear to be any knee ligament damage, so he’ll be out of action for between five and seven months.

“The lad is fairly calm,” agent Andrea Pastorello told Sky Sport Italia.

“Obviously it was a horrible injury and interrupted important steps forward in his career. More than anything he’s disappointed to see his season end here.”
