Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
Inter trying again for Osvaldo
Inter are on a hunt for a forward on loan. Luca Marchetti looks at the possibility of signing Pablo Osvaldo, the current Southampton forward.
“Icardi is still on the sidelines and Belfodil is leaving. Inter tried to borrow Osvaldo before but the response was not good. However, Inter are set to try again in the next few days with Fiorentina making the same request. The player, however, would prefer a permanent transfer.”

Intermediary to speak with Southampton about Osvaldo tomorrow
Even one of the most highly reliable transfer market experts in Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed it: Inter want Osvaldo and will make a move in the next few days.
“Rumors with voices that follow. Pablo Daniel Osvaldo has Italy in his future. The striker is liked by both Inter and Fiorentina as both clubs did try to sign him on loan. Southampton, however, have no intention to sell the player with this formula, at least for the moment. Tomorrow, an intermediary will arrive in London to speak with Southampton for a clearer future.”

Southampton want 16 million for Osvaldo, Inter simply cannot afford
The name of Pablo Osvaldo is back on the scene in the last few hours or so as Inter will give it one more shot to sign the former Roma forward. However, Southampton only want to monetize and the asking price is enormous.
“In the event of an outright sale, neither Inter nor Fiorentina can buy the player because the English club is asking for at least 16 million,” said Gianluca Di Marzio.

Tuttosport – Osvaldo is the forward for Mazzarri
Tuttosport is among the many news outlets in Italy reporting that Inter have not given up on Pablo Osvaldo. The paper even speaks of a real attack with this headline: “Inter-Osvaldo, attack started: here is the forward for Mazzarri.”
Source: Tuttosport
Inter in London today for Osvaldo?
Inter are desperately in need of a forward to reinforce the attack this January transfer window. Palacio needs help upfront and especially the fact that Mauro Icardi keeps getting injured, it is right that Inter are considering going after a forward. According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri management could be in London today to talk with Southampton about Pablo Osvaldo, one that Walter Mazzarri rates very highly. There is nothing concrete yet but maybe there will be soon.

Inter and Osvaldo, there’s optimism
According to the Corriere dello Sport, the chances of seeing Pablo Osvaldo going to Inter today are higher than before and the paper explains why.
“The request will be a loan with possibility that Inter will be obliged to purchase the player at the end of the season. Inter had already knocked at the door of Southampton but without much luck. Compared with the contact a few weeks ago, however, situation has changed. Osvaldo, in fact, is left out in all of the last 4 games in the Premier League and also the match in the FA Cup with Burnley. In short, there is confidence that this time, Southampton would be a bit more open.”

Lamela’s future remains in limbo[u]
The future of Erik Lamela remains in limbo. Inter and Atletico Madrid have the 21 year-old Argentinian in mind. The player continues to stay out of the plans of Sherwood but his father has ruled out a transfer in January and his brother, on Twitter, calms the waters on the relationship of Lamela with his coach.
Source: The Mirror
[u]Juventus now also want Lamela
On the first page of the Corriere dello Sport, comes the news regarding Erik Lamela and his extremely uncertain future. The Rome based newspaper reports that Juventus are very interested in the Spurs winger. Meanwhile, the player’s father openly admits that his son would welcome a return to Italy.

Decisive meeting Saturday with Torino for D’Ambrosio
Here is news on Danilo D’Ambrosio, Torino fullback.
“On Saturday, there will be a decisive meeting for D’Ambrosio. What important is the will of Mazzarri who already had a conversation with the player on the phone. Inter tighten and D’Ambrosio is getting closer,” said Di Marzio.
Source: Sky
Duncan, Benassi, and Botta could be in negotiations for D’Ambrosio
Danilo D’Ambrosio will soon play for Inter but the Nerazzurri will need to sort out the player that they are willing to sacrifice for the Torino player. Word is that Duncan and Benassi are likely included as counterparts and there is also talk of Botta on loan.
Source: Sky
No money involved in D’Ambrosio deal
Danilo D’Ambrosio is just a step away from Inter.
“But watch out: contrary to what you think, Inter will not give (Torino) money but only a co-ownership of either Duncan or Benassi. In addition, there may also be a loan and here is where Botta can be added in the discussion. Mazzarri will decide,” said GdS.

Milan, the sole favorite to sign Fernando
Milan are now the favorite to sign Fernando, the long time Inter target. Gianluca Di Marzio updates us on the situation involving the player and the Rossoneri.
“Fernando? Milan are in a very advance situation with the player. They have beaten the competition from other clubs. Now, it is time to find an agreement with Porto who would like to renew contract and sell him immediately in January.”
Source: Sky
[u][b]If Ranocchia leaves, Inter will go after Cannavaro[b][u]
Inter are thinking of Paolo Cannavaro for the defense. Sky Sport is reporting that the Napoli defender can leave in January and Inter are considering him as the replacement of Andrea Ranocchia in case the Inter defender leaving for Chelsea. For now, however, there are no direct contacts.

Icardi has again the groin
I am tired about this guy . always injuried and he distinguishes himself just for idiot tweets .
pratically we have only 1 forward. probably even Bologna has a better situation of us.
even an overrated as Osvaldo would be gold in this moment

Speaking at a press conference on the eve of the match against Hull City, Jose Mourinho has issued a brief, but significant statement about Fredy Guarin, the Inter midfielder who's a possible target for the market. "It is not true, I do not care,"
So there you have it, Guarin Stays. Now that's settled i hope to see more of his December form, not the crap we saw in the last couple of matches.

Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
Inter want to sign a forward but must sell Guarin first
The Inter transfer market goes through Fredy Guarin. Sky expert Alessandro Sugoni reports that for the Colombian, it will take a week of waiting as Inter are waiting for an offer from Chelsea. Negotiations are stopped but can quickly regain momentum and if that happened, the Nerazzurri would invest the money to sign a forward.
Source: Sky
Inter-Osvaldo, Chelsea-Guarin still no white smoke
Guarin negotiations with Chelsea are stalled and teams are not making any progress. This is going to make Inter signing new player very difficult because the club wants to use the money to finance transfer market moves. Osvaldo is the forward that the Nerazzurri want but the initial loan request was rejected by Southampton and they want to find an adequate replacement first. The figure that English club is asking for Osvaldo is very close to how much Inter would sell Guarin for.
Source: Sky
No offers for Osvaldo yet
Transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio speaks on Calciomercato.com on the possibility of Osvaldo landing at Inter.
“Osvaldo at Inter? He is a player that Inter and Fiorentina like very much. From what I know, Southampton said no to the loan and the coach still appreciates him very much. They will evaluate offers but right now, they have not come from the Italian clubs.”
Source: Calciomercato
Inter idea Borriello to reinforce attack
Sky transfer market expert Luca Marchetti believes that the name that Inter could go after to reinforce the attack is Marco Borriello who will leave Parma. The solution is on loan and there could be Fiorentina as competition.

Want Osvaldo? At least 15 million…
The well known transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla reports that Southampton have once again rejected giving up on Osvaldo on loan, with Inter as the number one candidate to land the player.
“Another no for Osvaldo on loan. Nothing can be done, Southampton do not want to hear it. Whoever wants Osvaldo must put at least 15 million euros on the plate. This is the direct message to all the teams that want the player.”
Source: Alfredopedulla.com
Icardi has groin problem, Borriello now more than just idea
Carlo Laudisa, a Gazzetta dello Sport journalist, speaks on his Twitter profile about the transfer market and Inter. Here are his words: “Inter have an emergency in the attack. Icardi has groin problem and Borriello has emerged to be an candidate this month.”

Spanish journalist: “Morata might leave in summer”
Spanish journalist Arancha Rodriguez comments on the voices that link Inter and two talented players of Real Madrid Alvaro Morata and Jese Rodriguez.
“They are two important players for Real Madrid future. Leaving in January is unlikely but in the summer things could change. More for Morata because there are a lot of expectations in Rodriguez. Today, Jese could already play as starter and he is liked by everyone, even the president. Morata, the situation could unlock in the summer because he is no longer a protagonist like before. He may go away on loan for a year.”

Quagliarella still an option
Given the difficulties that Pablo Osvaldo could arrive at Inter, the Nerazzurri are considering other alternatives. According to the Corriere dello Sport, Fabio Quagliarella remains an option (Juventus want Andrea Ranocchia, Conte really likes him). Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, however, does not want to let go of Alvaro Morata while Chelsea’s Juan Mata has too high wage.

“Erik Lamela not leaving”
Tottenham coach Tim Sherwood closes the possibility of Erik Lamela leaving the club this month.
“We know that he has great talent and also know that it takes time to adjust. Erik just needs to settle in a new country and must find rhythm. We are happy to keep him and it will be better to judge when he is better than 50%. He will not leave in January.”

Mazzarri given ok to sign Borriello
According to Sport Mediaset, Inter may have changed objectives in the attack from the Osvaldo to Borriello. Osvaldo remains a dream while Borriello is a more doable transfer target. The Nerazzurri would like to sign the Roma player on loan and Mazzarri has given the okay but the problem is that he is making 2.7 million. However, loan doesn’t mean permanent signing in June.

“Too many rumors, Osvaldo is happy here”
Mauricio Pochettino, Southampton coach, is back to refute the possible departure of Osvaldo, wanted by Inter this month.
“He is happy here and very satisfied. There have been many rumors coming from Italy and if we listened to all of them, we would become insane. Of course, the process of adapting for him is not easy and it takes time. He’s had a few injuries and now we are waiting for the suspension to end to have him back on the field.”

Inter still on Vrsaljko, agent: “Is he leaving? Hard to say”
Inter continue to keep an eye on the performances of Sime Vrsaljko, the Genoa full back. The Croatian has interest from Liverpool who have already sent scouts to Italy to see the work of the former Dinamo Zagreb player.
Speaking to KOPtalk, agent has this to say: “For him, Genoa is an honor. He is happy here. If he would leave this month or in June? Difficult to say now because it is something that the club will worry about.”

Ranocchia-Vucinic swap to be discussed soon?
According to Sport Mediaset, Inter and Juventus could soon sit at a table to being a major negotiation. The players involved would be Andrea Ranocchia and Mirko Vucinic as both are struggling to find space at their club. The idea is a straight swap as both are valued to be around the same figure of 15 million euros.

Sky – West Ham also want Borriello
Gianluca Di Marzio talks transfer news about Inter and Marco Borriello.
“Inter-Borriello is something that resurfaces every transfer window. It seems, however, that there is an on going negotiation between the player and West Ham who apparently not only want Belfodil.”
Another Sky reporter in Baiocchini confirms this news: “Negotiations are in progress and the English club would like the player no loan.”

Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
Inter president Erick Thohir has warned fans not to expect big name arrivals at the club this month.
The Nerazzurri currently sit sixth in Serie A and have lost their last two games following the Christmas break against Lazio and Udinese.
Despite their dip in form, Thohir - who completed his takeover at the club towards the end of 2013 - has indicated Inter will need to sell players before they are in a position to add to the squad.
Speaking to Indonesian media, he said: "We do not want to do as other clubs who proclaim purchases and do not conclude [them]. Before we buy we have to sell.
"In January we will have to review the team. There are roles where we have many players and others in which there are not. We are looking for players at positions that are lacking."
Inter crashed out of the Coppa Italia on Thursday, losing 1-0 to Udinese, after losing by the same scoreline to Lazio just three days earlier in the league.
However, Thohir remained composed on the club's future.
"The project is very clear, there is no doubt about this. We want to build a healthy, competitive and interesting club," he added.
"This is a year of transition. It is the year zero, it is the last year of a fantastic era.
"The market consists of a series of opportunities. The fans may not expect bombs, but if we have the chance we will make something interesting."

Are you favorable to "change" Guarin with Hernanes?
All media, Sky , Gazzetta report that Inter is on Hernanes but it is required the Guarin ' s sale to unlock everything . The money must come from that sale

100% Yes
Hernanes is more talented in every way. Even Long shots Will improve Inter's midfield, however the problem I think will arise is that Inter are not that stacked in defensive minded midfielders. Maybe go after a DM in the summer?

Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
yes overall he is a better player probably .. anyway imo it s not so obvious the choice
Hernanes draws attention to himself because he has flashes of class but he plays well discontinuously ( Guarin is often criticized for it but to be fair the Brazilian is not so different in this ... ) ,and to be fair I don't remember when it was the last game played well from Hernanes ( at least Guarin did something this year)... and he is almost 30 years and I'm wary about the Brazilian approaching this age
In the case I preferred fill other roles , as you said rightly the DM for example, there are other needs I think
However I am sure we will take nothing eventually, nor Hernanes neither others, there are doubts even for an average fullback as D'Ambrosio

Hernanes would be a better option in the midfield than Guarin, hes inconsistent but so is Guarin and Hernanes has more of a football brain than brainfart Guarin.
ffs Toronto FC has had a better transfer window than Inter.

Here’s the offer for Hernanes: 12 million plus Schelotto and Andreolli
Inter, in the last hours, are more and more interested in Lazio midfielder Hernanes. As for the offer, however, we are talking about 12 million euros plus co-ownership of Andreolli and Schelotto, especially the winger because Edy Reja really likes him. This proposal, however, would still too low for Lotito but it is something that can be negotiated.

Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
Alvaro Pereira’s situation seems the clearest, as there are reports of a deal to take him on loan for €1m with an option to buy at the end of the season for a further €7m.
This would give the Uruguay international the opportunity for more playing time ahead of the World Cup.
As for Ranocchia, he has been given the permission to discuss terms with other clubs, but so far interest has been timid.
Sky maintain Borussia Dortmund are stepping up negotiations after suffering a series of injury problems in defence.
Centre-back Ranocchia had also been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Everton and Juventus.
It is suggested Borussia Dortmund offered €7m compared to the €15m asking price, but that a deal could be struck at around €11m.
