Inter trying again for Osvaldo

Inter are on a hunt for a forward on loan. Luca Marchetti looks at the possibility of signing Pablo Osvaldo, the current Southampton forward.

“Icardi is still on the sidelines and Belfodil is leaving. Inter tried to borrow Osvaldo before but the response was not good. However, Inter are set to try again in the next few days with Fiorentina making the same request. The player, however, would prefer a permanent transfer.”

The name of Pablo Osvaldo is back on the scene in the last few hours or so as Inter will give it one more shot to sign the former Roma forward. However, Southampton only want to monetize and the asking price is enormous.

Inter are desperately in need of a forward to reinforce the attack this January transfer window. Palacio needs help upfront and especially the fact that Mauro Icardi keeps getting injured, it is right that Inter are considering going after a forward. According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri management could be in London today to talk with Southampton about Pablo Osvaldo, one that Walter Mazzarri rates very highly. There is nothing concrete yet but maybe there will be soon.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the chances of seeing Pablo Osvaldo going to Inter today are higher than before and the paper explains why.

Inter president Erick Thohir has warned fans not to expect big name arrivals at the club this month.

The Nerazzurri currently sit sixth in Serie A and have lost their last two games following the Christmas break against Lazio and Udinese.

Despite their dip in form, Thohir - who completed his takeover at the club towards the end of 2013 - has indicated Inter will need to sell players before they are in a position to add to the squad.

Speaking to Indonesian media, he said: "We do not want to do as other clubs who proclaim purchases and do not conclude [them]. Before we buy we have to sell.

"In January we will have to review the team. There are roles where we have many players and others in which there are not. We are looking for players at positions that are lacking."

Inter crashed out of the Coppa Italia on Thursday, losing 1-0 to Udinese, after losing by the same scoreline to Lazio just three days earlier in the league.

However, Thohir remained composed on the club's future.

Hernanes  draws attention to himself because he has flashes of class but he plays well discontinuously (  Guarin is often criticized for it but to be fair the Brazilian is not so different in this ... ) ,and to be fair  I don't remember  when it  was the last game played well from Hernanes ( at least Guarin did something this year)... and he is almost 30 years and I'm wary about the Brazilian approaching this age

In the case I preferred fill other roles , as you said rightly the DM for example, there are other needs I think
