Netherlands - Russia in Euro 2008. That tournament was ours.

All the penalty shootout's the Netherlands have ever engaged in (safe for like one)

Bergkamp, Raul and Guti's respective goodbye's.

De La Red's final press conference for Madrid

EDIT: This is just "life heartbreak"; I have more than enough national trauma to satisfy my soul, i.e. 1974.

Easy.

1994 WC Final. Had just come to the U.S. and Italy managed to get to the final and go to Penalties in the Country I had just moved to. The idea of "loss" at that point was unfathomable.

Left a sour feeling over Baggio for the rest of my life.

Throwing away the 12 point lead against United

Losing on penalties against Partizan Belgrade in the 3rd qualifying round for the CL.

Getting relegated.

United v Porto in 2004 CL last 8 2nd leg. We were about a minute away from going to the semi final when Howard decided to fck up. Heartbreak! Not the worst moment, but one that sticks out in my mind right now.

I honestly believe we would have won the CL that year had we went through. Fcking Tim Howard. grrr

When wayne bridge scored that fluke in the CL 2004. We destroyed them home n away but....

we should have won the CL that year..

When Almunia effed up two times against barcelona in 2006.

When Zidane got sent off at the WC final Sad

When owen scored the winner in the FA cup final

what happened in 2003 ?

CL final vs Milan... We lost on penalties.

But Nedved did win the Ballon d'Or that year...

the fact that Nedved didnt play in that final was a big disapointment knowing that im a big fan of him

Yeah, we would've played a lot better in the final if he was there No

2006 Champions League final. Losing was bad enough; the fact we were 1-0 up and still lost the game made it all the more painful.

2011 Carling Cup final. Just the nature of the winning goal, and the fact it was practucally the last kick of the game.

Macheda goal vs A.Villa, Not beating Arsenal in 4-4 game where we could have easily scored 8 goals. Athens final, Osheas last minute winner at Anfield, going away to Leverkusen in CL with so little to go. Hating a LFC manager to the point that I didn't mind us losing a game, Riise freak own goal ...
