Re: Your Biggest Football Heartbreak
Chelsea vs Barcelona, Overbo will never be forgiven for that stunt he pulled. It was the beginning of the Uefa in favour of barca conspiracy.
Germany vs Italy, 2006. if only we held on for 3 more min, we would have beaten italy in pk's...
Germany vs Spain, 2010. yet again, Spain winning in ugly style. Finally, the world realizes that germany are the team to beat.
germany vs england, 1964. That ball didn't cross the line....

Actually, you got lucky that the ref gave the goal, or Cech would have been sent off and penalty given to us after 4 minutes. then we would have won 3-0 instead of 1-0

Surely its better to be a goal behind than get your GK sent off just 4 min into the match?

Re: Your Biggest Football Heartbreak
3-0 loss vs. Barcelona at Bernabeu really tore me up, so did the 2-6 a few years back
Another one that hurt was last years loss in the last 16 vs. Lyon where raul played his final CL game for us

The Italian tragedy that hasn't been mentioned yet was the Euro 2000 final. 1994 and 2002 hurt a lot, though at least you could see 2010 coming.
2005 Champions League Final. Pirlo leaving, whilst Bonera is still in the squad.

Re: Your Biggest Football Heartbreak
Roma-Sampdoria (2011): Scudetto was in the palm of our hands, only for Cassano of all people to take it away. A game we really should have won in which we were denied 2 (maybe even 3, though one of the episodes was very doubtful) penalties.
Roma-Arsenal (2009 - CL Round of 16): Lost on penalties after Tonetto blasted his over the net. Arsenal won the first match at home through a Van Persie penalty (a clumsy tackle by Mexes, dubious nonetheless). We managed to get the lead at the Olimpico and held it until penalties despite missing our 2 best defenders and being forced to play Diamoutene and Riise at CB with Tonetto and Motta as full backs. We definitely had the chance to win, with Baptista missing an open net and a couple of other good chances. That was the year the final was being held at the Olimpico in Rome and though realistically we had little chance of making it, it was heartbreaking to miss that opportunity.
Roma-Manchester: Don't wanna talk about it.
The video still breaks my heart, we really deserved the scudetto after coming back from a 12 point deficit and overtaking first place. The Fonz wrote:

Re: Your Biggest Football Heartbreak
In the times I have actually watched football:
Emilio Butragueno leaving Madrid
Redondo to AC Milan after his excellent UCL campaign
VDB/Hierro situation with Perez
Makelele being sold
Figo's missed penalty
Carlos Queiroz coaching Real Madrid
Puskas passing away : (
Zidane/Ronaldo retiring

Torres leaving brought tears to my eyes....that weekend was probably the worst weekend of my life as far as I can remember. I could barely move from my room, watching his clips 24/7
