Look at the midfield he had to break into vs this one.

It was a reply to RG's post, sorry for not quoting. I meant he is ready to be loaned out and gain experience. Used Wilshere only for the age comparison.

Championship side Ipswich Town, who have already taken Ainsley Maitland-Niles on a season-long loan, are confident of agreeing a loan deal with another, as yet unnamed, Arsenal youngster before the start of the new campaign.

Just the three: Yassine Fortune, Jeff and now Bennacer.

Bennacer has actually played 7 games for Arles-Avignon in Ligue 2 and the French cup, mostly at CM it seems. He scored in a cup game.

An Arsenal U19 side beat Celtic 4-2 in South Africa earlier. Goals from Willock (set up with a great pass from Zelalem), Sheaf (a really nice goal), Zelalem (penalty) and Kaylen Hinds. Clips of the goals here:

Willock didn't score, it was Robison.

Watched end of first half and most of the second. Zelalem pretty much controlled the game as he looked a bit ahead of the rest of the players on the field. We had much of the ball but lacked numbers and movement when in the final third. Honestly though, the scoreline says 4-2, but we could have crafted more chances. Celtic two goals came from, first a horrendous error from our goalie, and the second a cracker. from outside the box

Kostas Pileas was our defensive youth signing of the summer.

Think he is from Cyprus. Or Greece

Pileas is a Cypriot and we signed Osei-Tutu from Reading who is also a defender. But admittedly very few signings in defense where we seemed to struggle a lot last season. The new signings in defense like Ilieas Cha-whatever,Julio P and the Algerian defender whom he had for trial all struggled a lot.And even Semi Ajayi who seemed to be decent has joined Charlton.

The point of poor defense being vindicated by our victory over Celtic. Both the goals due to suspect defending at the back by Arsenal esp. Keto's horrible mistake(though equaled by Celtic GK for Hinds' goal).Hope we make amends for it in our next game against PSV.

Though the attack seemed good.Zelalem's through ball and Robinson's cool finish,Sheaf's strike and then,Zelalem's panenka, continuing Arsenal's new found love for panenka.

And,Jeorge Bird says the overhaul is set to continue with Arsenal set to sign 15-year old Portuguese GK,Joao Virginia.

Wasn't he supposed to be the 'new Lionel Messi'?
Maxi Romero?

Apparently Arsenal pulled out from the signing after Romero had torn his knee ligaments during a reserve game for Velez.

And,BTW whatever happened to the other South American we had interest on and trialed? One Uruguayan(?) DM,Sebastien Perez who scythed Samir Nasri during our 3-0 win over Finland?

Could only catch the first half as the Charity Shield match started as the second half got underway.

Our goalie (who I remind made a mistake in the first 4-2 match against Celtic) had a shocker again today just before HT. O'Conner, one of our CBs, made a backpass, and although it must be said it was a tad bit strong, the goalie made a complete hash of it as he miscontrolled the ball and it slipped underneath his foot into goal.

Still young, but needs to cut those embarrassing errors from his game if he wants to make it at the top level

Some comments from new signing Bennacer:

http://news.arseblog.com/2015/08/new-signing-wenger-told-me-i-had-potential-to-succeed/

Wenger being Wenger, and Arsenal being "the most French of the English clubs" helped convince him to join us over City.
