I had my fair share of dislike for Ferguson for some of his characteristics and quotes yet it would just be downright embarrassing and disrespectful if LFC fans would engage on hostile and classless behaviour within his vicinity to which would open do no cause beyond just a poor display of who we are. Of course, they're are a certain number who would, but then again those are the same ones who would chant about Munich as these individuals are ostracized outside the stadium from society like the small groups of Italians who chant racist chants.

Expect the same for United fans. Example was some of the greatest moments in English football. Arsene Wenger was sent off by the referee and chose to be defiant by viewing the game by a platform.



Normally you'd expect rival fans spurred by their own kind (especially given the Ferguson-Wenger rivalry) to hurl abuse or even physical objects. Yet what was seen to my surprise was a good natured applause by the United fans surrounding him, even supporting him in his cause vs the referee.

Fantastic moment.
