Beautiful Football wrote:Every year they are real deal, yet it almost decade they didn't win CL.Last five years they only manage to win 1 La Liga. we will see what happen end of the season.

Whenever, real madrid manage to play 10-15 good games, they are the best in every department. Modric? best midfielder,Pepe?best defender, is it even a question?.Marcelo? best left back in the world. Varane? you can only compare him to maldini.

IMO Most overrated club in the last decade.

Modric- ths season he has been one of the best, if not the best. he has performed incredible.
Marcelo- has been the best for 3 years now.
Varane- has the potential to be the best. everyone knows that.
Pepe-nobody said that. he has probably been the best in La Liga this season, though, that's not a hard goal.

What's so annoying is that fans of clubs like RM always seem to think that if they have a good player who's their teams best in his position they tend to think he's the best in the world. Modric is an amazing cm, always has been. Best in the world? What? Why? Because he was your best midfielder? Sorry but that's not equivalent to best in the world.
Of course it doesn't matter anyway. People are too obsessed with this "best players" bullshit nowadays. Messi or Ronaldo, Modric the best midfielder, Varane the greatest talent and stuff like that... seriously whatever?!
If Real Madrid finally stopped conceding tons of goals it's because they finally started to play well as a unit.

Though I understand the confusion, Messi in white underwear can leave one confused about life.

Why should he? First of all, this is a thread about Real Madrid, and second, none has ever claimed that Barcas defence is solid, like someone did with Real Madrids defence.

They were my pick to win the CL before the season started.

1. Because I want Ronaldo to win it again, seeing as Chelsea really have no chance this year.

2. Because I think Madrid have waited long enough for that 10th one.

You laugh like an idiot but who are their competition?

Barca who just got raped twice in the space of 3 weeks by La Real and Valencia?

Dortmund who just got raped 3-0 by the worst team in the Bundesliga, and who can't even get ahead of Neverkusen in the league?

City? Laughing Worse than Barca
Chelsea? Laughing
United? Laughing
Juve? The team that couldn't get past Galatasaray and FCK in the group stages.

The only team I would take serious is PSG atm. But imo Madrid are superior to them.

Thats not a fair assessment. RM have yet to beat Barca, Atleti and Bilbao in the league, so what does that say about them? They haven't beaten any of the top 4 teams in the league yet. They did recently thrash Atleti in two games in the CdR, but lets see when they run into PSG, Bayern, Chelsea, etc then we can assess them a little better then just claiming there behind only Bayern. I'm not saying they aren't good, but personally ranking doesn't matter tactics come down to defining a game. Had Arsenal not had a player sent off they could've drawn, or even possibly beaten Bayern right? Even tho most would claim they aren't even in the same league.

Dortmund also finished 25 points behind Bayern last season didn't stop them from thrashing RM and reaching CL final :coffee:

It's funny how you post this when it's the first time you've been top of the league in a gazillion weeks.

Please stop spreading lies, we've beaten Bilbao in the league.  What a Face

As for this thread I'm not really convinced we're the real deal just yet. We've defended pretty well and are on the right track but we need to beat some of the tougher teams come March/April/May.

Should be interesting.

Real Madrid have become scary now that Isco is benched for di Maria, they're defending better than they've done for years, attacking wise you know how it is - they've settled down now with formations/squad changes and are peaking at the right time. They really look very good this season.

Barca seem to have taken a slight dip in form. But our form will count for nothing if we fail to beat big teams both in the league and CL

There are many teams that can win CL. Namely Bayern, PSG, Barca, Atleti, chelsea it just depends on who we get some teams are experts at playing against our type of football while some others would find it hard. depends on the luck of the draw really

will figo do the draw again or do they always change?? we need all madridistas on board Proud
