We will surely make a bid for Reus next summer when his release clause will be activated, the problem is all the other big clubs will be all over him aswell. Especially the way he's playing right now, he's on "Ballon d'Or candidate" form and if he continues like this for the rest of the year (including World Cup hype), there will be too many offers for him.

Which club would buy him??? You, Bayern (?), United......... tbf if he wants whats best for his career he will choose you guys and he is excellent. Problem is he plays on the same wing as Walcott who can play nowhere else(well possibly striker also). The one after, €35m release clause is a joke for that calibre of a player... most top clubs will jump at the opportunity.

Man City, Bayern, PSG, Man Utd, maybe Liverpool (would say Barcelona but they have a ban muahahaha) will try to get him for sure. Not that there's no chance for us, we have the money, a big name coach and he quite fancies us but it would be hard to battle it against these clubs.

Reus plays more on the left or in the middle these days. He's good across all three positions so there'd be no problem fitting him and Walcott into the same side.

He'd be the idea player to sign but with the amount of competition there'll inevitably be I can't see us signing him. We can afford his buyout and to pay him big wages, but whether the will is there is another matter entirely.

I think teams try to get players from certain countries/leagues to fit into a culture they are trying to build believe it or not, for example I think PSG would focus on getting Hazard(played in the french league) or a french player from another league. Man City would buy players from LaLiga or getting spanish players from elsewhere while United are still soul searching and both Bayern and Arsenal are focusing on the Bundesliga or German players lately

I would be very surprised if Barca even acknowledged that he existed, he is better than what they have on that side but don't think they will buy another winger

Granted I haven't watched him alot this season but it was to my understanding that Grosskreutz played LW and Reus RW but fair enough if he has played there lately.

couple of things that struck me

Serge Aurier averages 1.6 shots per game
crazy for a full back thats also utilized centrally at times

Squillaci has 70% aerial success
awesome league isnt it

I think Aurier's attacking stats are a bit inflated because he plays as a winger and right midfielder at times from what I've read.

He also plays CB for his team and LB for his country. Quite versatile, that guy.

Borussia Dortmund are so worried that Marco Reus could leave for one of Manchester United, Barcelona or Real Madrid that they are prepared to offer the player a new contract despite his current one extending to 2017. The issue for Dortmund is that Reus has a buyout clause of €35m which can be activated for a period in 2015, that leaves the Bundesliga club very uncomfortable indeed.

Reus currently earns €5m per year at Borussia Dortmund according to Bild and the German newspaper say that the club will propose a new deal seeing his wages rise to €7m, making him their best paid player. The condition is that Reus removes the buyout clause from his contract, meaning that Dortmund wouldn't have to sell unless an offer becomes too tempting.

The clause could even cause trouble for Dortmund this summer. If a club offered, say, €45m, and Reus wanted the move then the prospect of losing him for less a year later would no doubt be put forcefully to Dortmund. If Reus does accept the new offer then it will give Dortmund some peace, but if he doesn't then it would look like the German international fancies a move.

Reus has been Dortmund's main shining light this season, scoring 16 Bundesliga goals and 5 in the Champions League. He's also made a combined 14 assists in those two competitions.
