Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Keane would likely be the first call up
but he's on loan
rest of the lads in the youth ranks have never had a game at CB for the first team so it will be interesting to see who get's the call.

Paddy McNair and Tom Thorpe will be in the Manchester United squad for the visit of West Ham on Saturday.
The manager also explained why midfielder Daley Blind will not be an option to play in the centre of defence.
"I don't like having too many left-sided defenders or left-footed players in defence," he told MUTV. "I think always of balance so [instead] I have to pick up a right-sided central defender from the youth education. Normally, I am always doing things like that. I have already said that we have a lot of vacancies when you buy only six players and let 14 players go.

Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
I am going to stick my neck on the line and say it doesn't matter who plays centre back today because United will go at West Ham with the intention of scoring more than they do. Great for the viewers and a strong tactic in the circumstances.
West Ham then have a decision to make - go toe to toe, which is actually their best chance of getting a result. Or playing deep and trying to counter attack.
I think they'll go with the play deep thing which will then make United's defensive weakness less of an issue and easier to deal with.
I can see United winning 3 or 4 1. If West Ham have a go it could be a cracker though. 5 3 I hope.

Official starting 11 v West Ham
DDG, Rafael, Mcnair, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Herrera, Di Maria, Rooney, Falcao, RVP
Subs: Lindegaard, Thorpe, Fletcher, Pereira, Valencia, Mata, Januzaj
I see LVg is sticking with his out of form best mate. Big match for Mcnair, I hope he does well. Great to see Luke Shaw start for us.
Outscore them. Protect that back four. Win.

De Gea with his 100th pl game today, Rafael got his against Leicester. Just shows how many games Rafael has missed through injury.

HT
We've looked comfortable, potent in attack, but yet again brainfarts at the back cost us.
Herrera has been outstanding. Rafael has been outstanding. Our back four looked in control. Our forwards are linking up well.
We just can't seem to not keep from letting teams back in it.
Blind needs to stop making casual passes in dangerous areas.
Di Maria is not having the best of days so far, but has looked dangerous whenever going forward. Should have buried that chance Herrera laid for him.
We need to score atleast 1 or 2 more because I don't trust our backline to keep a clean sheet for the entirety of the 2nd half.

*sigh* I thought De Gea erased this part of his game
Herrera has been good. Him and Rafael have been doing some good work in the right half

Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
shaw's return has helped and rojo is a much better cb than rb.
Now the next 45 mins is the real deal. I am a tad nervous. Will have to score one early here as well. Blast off and get it done. And then we can wrest control of the situation.

^absolute class. I was watching that thinking that is a certain goal. Mcnair
Herrera coming off injured has me worried. We desperately need him.
Hopefully nothing too major.

Bad game even though we won but at least there wasn't a dubious penalty like against Leicester or a inability to score like earlier.
