I think Pool is in quite safe position to keep him now, he's one bite away from something as severe as one year ban.

haha - usually I'm blind drunk anyway so it could have been Suarez himself for all I know!
Anyway duly noted, I assumed the biting was normal practice.
Just pointing out the humour in everyone suddenly becoming a hypercondriac in their outrage.

Suarez loses key sponsorship deal over Chiellini bite
http://m.eurosport.com/football/world-cup/2014/suarez-loses-key-sponsorship-deal-over-chiellini-bite_sto4302171/story.shtml
.Luis Suarez's shameful bite on Giorgio Chiellini has cost him a sponsorship deal with 888poker, the company confirmed on Friday.
Suarez was hit with a four-month ban from all football activity by FIFA on Thursday and is also banned for nine international games with Uruguay.
And the 27-year-old's moment of madness has also hit him in the pocket: one of his main off-pitch sponsors, 888poker, has confirmed it is ending its deal with the striker.
A company statement read: "888poker signed Luis Suarez following a fantastic season for which his achievements were widely recognised.
"Regrettably, following his actions during Uruguay’s World Cup match against Italy on Tuesday, 888poker has decided to terminate its relationship with Luis Suarez with immediate effect."
The poker company may not be the only firm to distance themselves from Suarez.
Forbes magazine reports that Adidas are taking the matter "very seriously" - something which could translate into financial repercussions, considering that Suarez had already tried the firm's patience when he bit Branislav Ivanovic last year.
Adidas is reported to be considering pulling his deal and will apparently make a decision following the World Cup.
888poker, which made $53.2m (£31m) in pre-tax profits in 2013, signed Suarez last month, and have been running a series of promotions to cash in on his name

Re: Suarez Bites No More (we can but hope)
I highly doubt FIFA can ban you from general training or hiring a personal coach. That would go way too far. It's only FIFA not some countries legal system that banned him. I guess he's not allowed to train with Lfc but that's it. Probably he's not allowed to train with other professional clubs aswell though I wouldn't even be sure about that.Natalie Portman wrote:thing is, he is banned from even TRAINING with Liverpool or his club.
so his ban expires october 25th....the guy hasn't even trained, not allowed to attend training sessions..will be so behind fitness wise and tactically.
I'm reading from a professional FIFA A license holder who is a RAWK member, that the ban most probably involved his ban from hiring a professional trainer to keep him fit.
What if he is caught playing football with his daughter at a park ? Can FIFA spot it and use it against him ?
All-football activities need to be defined better. The ban to "train" is the thing that does my head though. It's like an extra 2 months basically.

Maradona also wore this shirt and said: "It's crucifying the player. They may as well send him to Guantanamo. It's absurd"
Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini - the player bitten by Luis Suarez - says he believes the punishment given to the Uruguay striker is "excessive".
Suarez has been given a nine-match international ban, as well as four-suspension from all football, meaning he can no longer be in contact with the Uruguay squad.
"I have always considered unequivocal the disciplinary interventions by the competent bodies, but at the same time I believe that the proposed formula is excessive," said Chiellini.
"I sincerely hope that he will be allowed, at least, to stay close to his team-mates during the games because such a ban is really alienating for a player."
"Now inside me there's no feelings of joy, revenge or anger against Suarez for an incident that happened on the pitch and that's done," he said.
"There only remain the anger and the disappointment about the match. At the moment my only thought is for Luis and his family, because they will face a very difficult period."

Re: Suarez Bites No More (we can but hope)
The international players' union has questioned the severity and focus of FIFA's punishment of Luis Suarez for biting an opponent at the World Cup, saying it "infringes his right to work" and doesn't offer him the treatment he needs.
FIFPro said Friday that "rehabilitation and serious treatment ... must be a part of any sanction" for the Uruguay and Liverpool forward.
"Luis Suarez deserves all the support he needs including legal support in the appeal case in order to achieve a reduction of the sanctions," FIFPro said in a statement.
The player also must have "support he needs to deal with any off-field issues he may be experiencing at this time," the union said.
Suarez bit the left shoulder of defender Giorgio Chiellini on Tuesday in Natal during Uruguay's 1-0 win over Italy, an incident that went unpunished by the referee but was witnessed by fans around the world on TV. It was the third time he has bitten an opponent, after incidents in the Dutch and English leagues.
Suarez has returned to Montevideo after FIFA banished him on Thursday with a nine-match suspension from Uruguay's competitive matches, a four-month ban from all football and a fine of 100,000 Swiss francs ($112,000).
The Uruguay football federation is preparing an appeal to FIFA, which Liverpool is not involved in.
FIFPro said the FIFA appeals committee must "focus especially on the accumulation of sanctions."
"The fact that Suarez is prohibited from working for a long period must be addressed as it directly infringes his right to work," the Netherlands-based union said. "Also the fact that Liverpool FC is affected needs to be an important issue."
FIFPro says it reviewed the full judgment of FIFA's disciplinary panel, and suggested that an appeal can "re-establish the facts in a calm and considered setting."
If FIFA dismisses Suarez's appeal, a further legal challenge is allowed at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland.
It could freeze the sanctions upon request, allowing Suarez to resume training and playing for Liverpool during the appeal process.

Not even Chiellini is butthurt about this as much as the Italian fans, at least his disapiontment isn't redirected at Suarez for his teams failures.

Re: Suarez Bites No More (we can but hope)
I think FIFA gave such a harsh ban because it will be appealed and then they will give him something like 2 months + being able to see his teammates and it will still be harsh but look fair.
Also agreed with FIFPro that any serious sanction must include psychological help.
