Tbh if you think about it Red, Agger is most likely gone this summer. Kolo's contract is over next summer and Skrtel is on a very thin line cobsidering his form and age.

That leaves us with Lovren, Sakho, Ilori and Coates as the 4 CBs starting 2015-16.

It kind of makes sense if we loaned him out. I just can't see us buying another CB next summer for the 3rd summer in a row.

I'd be far more willing to bet on us buying another CB next summer than keeping Coates around beyond the end of his current contract.

I hope that we go in hard for Schar when the time comes. Or maybe try and convince Benatia to leave Rome.

With that said, another player I'd love to take a flyer on is Giovani dos Santos. Finally beginning to live up to his potential and would fit in amazingly at Liverpool. Versatile as well as he can play either flank, in the middle and as a striker.

Lack of news on the striker front, besides Eto'o, makes me a bit nervous for the season knowing that Studge will get injured at some point this season (or at least need rest).

BR says one or two more deals to be completed.

Assuming one is Moreno, the other will probably be a CF or a GK. Maybe both.

Pearce on #Borini: Liverpool still very happy to take the £14m Sunderland have offered but Borini still stalling over move. #LFC

Pearce on #Suso: I know #LFC have been in talks with him over a new contract so they certainly aren't planning on selling him this summer.

Pearce on #Suso: Difficult to see him forcing his way into the team with current competition for places so maybe another loan spell. #LFC

He'll be confirmed tonight or tomorrow morning. Probably makes him ineligible for the Soton game.

yeah Moreno wont be available for Southampton. Why number 56 but?
@Hames, Skrtel is going nowhere after this season, he will perform brilliantly with Lovren. :coffee:
I am ready to wait till Jan if we dont sell Borini.

BR - "The money is there, but it's not as if there's panic to buy. It is something we will look to complete before the end of the window, but if we do not add upfront, it means the right player did not become available to us."

Well there you have it, unless it's Reus we ain't signing another attacker.

We can still have an amazing 5 months until January as long as Sturridge stays injury free. Then we can re-asses the situation.

In the circumstance where our best option is Eto'o, I would prefer to keep Borini at least until January or till we get a better alternative.

Also, Suso should get enough time considering his talent, development and our game load.

Agreed, Eto'o on a pay as you play deal with less wages per week?

Like 70k per week when he doesnt, 140k the week he plays :hmm?

Yeah Eto'o seems like our ultimate option. Wouldn't mind him at this point tbh.

I would like to keep Borini, although we bring Eto in. For me Eto can be a surprise package but we should have Borini there to push him; when Studge gets injured...am i asking for too much there hmm

The ideal situation would be if Sturridge didn't get any injuries and played every game until January at least.

Victor Moses has joined Stoke on a season-long loan, could mean that the move for Assaidi is off.

BRon striker target: "Someone with experience who could go straight into the team. Not necessarily someone for the future, someone who can make an impact.”

That sadly has Eto'o written all over it  Sad

No way, can't see why anyone would want Eto honestly, would be a garbage piece of business.

9 goals in 21 apps in the PL, his hatrick vs united makes him look better than he is, his goals against Cardiff, Spurs and Arsenal are stad padders, do we really want to pay someone a ridiculous amount of money to do nothing. He'll only get worse this season, I'd rather rely on Lambert then get this guy.

How were they stat peddlers? He scored the opening goals against Arsenal Spur and United and winning goal against us.

I don't want us to sign Eto'o either but in the worst case scenario would rather have Eto'o as back up to DS than having no one.

At the Bordeaux-Monaco match today.

Loan deal almost complete. Bordeaux are a good side. He will definitely get a chance next season with us what with multiple center halves leaving us in the year. So loan deal is probably for the best at this point.

Will follow him intensively as I did last season with Granada.

I know Bayern wouldn't agree, but Claudio Pizarro is better in the 'well past the prime' category of strikers.
