Well not really. Because from his perspective Di Maria is more dangerous since he can actually do things in tight spaces, unlike Bale and Ronaldo. But it is a stretch to call him the best player, that might have been banter (or bias).

There are reports saying that Real Madrid have given Angel Di Maria permission to join Manchester United. I think the Red Devils are close in signing the Argentinian Midfielder at the price of £50million.

Well in France, reports are saying that negotiations between Flo and Naser are finished where Madrid has agreed to the deal structure proposed by PSG... only thing remaining is for PSG to move Lavezzi and Rabiot so they have the wage space required for Di Maria. PSG has agreed to wait until after the Spanish supercup to get the deal done per the understanding between the 2 clubs.

I think this is a reasonable assumption. PSG would never shop Lavezzi around if they didn't have a replacement already in place.

Also, let's be real honest, 5-6 million a year is not exactly lower middle class salary.

Tbf she is very outspoken and is just correcting misleading informations/accusations. It's not the first time she has had to come out to protect him from media slanders and probably won't be the last.

In terms of number it's alot but when it compares to other players on the team it's very little. There are three tiers to our wage structure: There is the highest one with Ronaldo(although you could argue he is in a tier of his own), Iker and Bale (soon to include Ramos) then there is the middle one containing Benz, Xabi, Modric etc and then there is the lowest one containing our cantera, young recruited players..........and DiMaria. There is a pretty big gap between the lower tier and the middle but a tiny one between the middle and top. If they appreciate him he will be at least in the middle but the wage they are offering him he'd still be with the bottom lot and I think that's why he feels under appreciated

It's NET too.  Peeps have to realize that strikers get paid the most followed by the rest...  it's a supply/demand thing.  The positions where you have the most players is usually in the midfield and the least is striker. But that depends on what the market is asking for that year and what players are available.

Still can't comprehend the logic behind letting your (2nd) best player leave. Especially after his wife exposed the mercenary propaganda.

DiMa's wife is technically right, Di Maria got offered 8 mil, he didnt ask for it, and obviously, it's much more than what madrid are willing to offer him.

I would refrain from talking numbers with any degree of certainty.

What is true is that even as Dima bosses every big game he plays the Marcas and ASs treat him as a nobody and consistently suggest he be replaced with the latest fad. This is probably what has caused him to say that "It hurts to give your all for a club only to be constantly doubted" (paraphrasing). I can only speculate, but he problably (and rightly in my opinion) feels like he has to leave Madrid to become appreciated.

What is the deal agreed between PSG and Real Madrid for di Maria and if nothing is agreed how is this transfer supposed to happen with PSG having spent €50m on Luiz already without selling anyone for a high transfer fee?

PSG are going to pay a premium over the transfer if the price were paid today.  For example, if the fee is agreed to be 55 mil today, PSG would pay a premium of 10 mil to make it 65 mil.  The transaction then becomes a 1 year loan with an automatic buyout clause of 65 million in the summer of next year.  As a result, the transfer does not hit the books for this season at all.

They did the same thing with Aurier and his 10 mil fee with Toulouse.

PSG seem highly confident that their 100 mil per season marketing deal will take full value after this season given that a similar deal was signed by Man U.  So they're pushing all the fees out far enough to allow for this to occur.  UEFA typically makes its decision in Dec/Jan and April/May of each year.  Even if UEFA does say no, they have solid grounds to take it to the Sports Arbitration court since there's precedent now (wasn't the case last year).
