I wasn't too impressed with Oezil today he had 3 great shooting opportunities and every time he passed up the responsibility. He didn't seem that up for it to me...

His shot was weak as f*ck for the second chance. Should have connected better ffs, the goal was gaping.

The game was slowing down so putting Modric in made sense. He wasn't going to take off Ronaldo, Khedira or Ozil. Di Maria was the natural choice.

I agree with you. It wasn't the best substitution but Jose's choice was based on pecking order. I guess he had trust in Ozil to drift wide and try to create something. By then Rooney was already playing RB so not much was going to change imo even if Di Maria had stayed on.

Jose was probably happy with the 1-1. For him not losing the first game was paramount.
