Well ADM fooled me then, you know, seeing as I watched every game he featured in for Utd.

I didn't see any of that. I saw a timid footballer, who lacked any bottle on the pitch.

Also, I don't care about those footballers, we're talking about ADM here. They proved they can hack it, ADM couldn't and is unwilling to try to next season by the looks of things.

I just saw the guy stand up and be counted in a Copa America that was well beyond the physicality of the supposed power house EPL and he was great there.

Don't try that. Those other players I named go against the grain of your notion that you need to be some brute to succeed.

You tried to act like his physique is a reason why he didn't succeed. Then you say he wasn't mentally tough enough to succeed in England. Then, it was his mind wasn't on playing in England. What next? "He doesn't lift tho!!!!"?

AdM is probably the greatest athlete in the game right now. His engine is one of his biggest strengths. Remember that WC match against err.. Switzerland ? where Argentina won in the extra time. He ran continuously for like 120 mins up and down and yet scored the winner in the 118th minute.

If that match was any evidence, his stamina/built is not the problem. His heart and desire is ;  courtesy various factors.

No. His first month or so with us was his best. He was destroying teams during that time.
Then came the dip in form when lvg put him in the wrong role. And then came young's resurgence when he started playing in adm's place. And then came his personal problems. Which further added to his already down mentality.

So the heart, desire issues only popped up during the 2nd half of the season and not during the initial stage.
A point reached where he literally gave up trying.

Good enough to be best player in a CHL final, not good enough to be in the BPL. Agreed.

Di Maria can play anywhere, but he is very much a player that has to be used right, or actually on the left. When he is being played consistently and can use his superior will and stamina there's no one like him. I'd take him back in a heart beat. De Gea and Di Maria and 100m for Bale pls.

that's what im saying about having your heart tested. as soon as them big center backs saw him duck out of a chalange they would then of put it on him even more. that's where he needed to show he had the heart to get up and kick them back twice as hard. but he didn't.

La Liga hype. He became a contender for Balon D'or on the basis of 4 good months ffs.

He had virtually the same exact season 09-10 Malouda did under Carlo as a shuttler ffs.

Don't remember Malouda winning the CL and being MOTM in the final mind. Also Malouda was a great player in his prime lol.
