why not a diamond with verratti behind Cavani Ibra?

still dont understand why cabaye went to psg deliberately knowing he would be a bench player.

that being said, Blanc tried to force him into the team, upsetting verratti since he was always getting subbed out for cabaye, and benched at times for him.

He knew the risk Nick, it is what it is though not many midfielders are going to be good enough for a team that gets to the latter stage of CL every year.

I knew what was gonna happen before he left and i'm sure he did too.

Verratti doesnt even have 30 games at professional level in a "holding position". the one that does that job at PSG is Thiago Motta, and he is miles better than Verratti in that role, i mean, it's not even close. Verratti currently plays interior right at pSG.

He should be playing around the ceter-circle, not on the edge of the box.

When you play 3 CMs, you need 4 CMs to rotate... and it's especially true for PSG given Motta's injuries/age + Verratti's discipline/stamina issues + PSG going far in every competition (there are 2 cup comps in France). Cabaye is going to get 30-40 starts this season just like the other 3.
