The 2014/15 Calcio Saga - Page 5 Empty Re: The 2014/15 Calcio Saga

Serie A is going to be much tighter at the top this season. By top I mean top 2.

Juve, on paper, still have the best squad in Serie A. I think they won't be as strong as last season for 2 reasons:

1) Allegri. I don't believe Allegri is nearly as bad as some people like to make him out to be. He won a league title and did good things with a Milan team that sold their best players every season. I do think that the sudden change in managerial philosophy will have an affect on the players. I can't see them reaching 102 points again, I think between 85-95 is more likely.

2) It's hard to believe that Juve will go out in the CL for two seasons in a row. I think they'll at least make it to the RO16, and depending on the draw, the QF. This will have an affect on Serie A performances with Allegre having to rotate.

I think Roma have improved despite the sale of Benatia. They looked immense vs Fiorentina tonight. In the CL I expect them to win all their home matches, but as we know Italian clubs are like night and day when it comes to their home/away performances. So yeah, Roma and Juve are def a lock for 1st and 2nd again.

Last season was a 13 point gap between 3rd and 4th, I expect that to close. I feel Napoli haven't improved quality-wise, most of their signings have been depth signings. Inter look solid and have made a few quality additions. Icardi and Kovacic will really have to perform this season for that. We'll see of Thohir signs another attacker before the window closes. Fiorentina looked disjointed vs Roma today. They haven't improved from last season.

Looks to be a great season.

Standard Roma/Fiorentina match. I was looking for the game to end 1-0 in Roma's favor as usual, but Gervinho finally buried one of his million chances.

We are already improving on last season

How good was Nainggolan today? He ran the show all game ffs. He keeps that type of energy and we're not going to miss Strootman........much. Ninja did everything asked of him and so much more. A truly complete midfielder.

Exactly what I was going to say. Quality Strootman replacement.

I see new Interista on GL , welcome Tometek Proud

Fiorentina has an awful score when it plays against Roma in Roma, it is so since I follow football Laughing

just against Inter, Fiorentina is worse.
I am an Inter fan since 97 and my Inter - Fiorentina are 13 victories for us and just 1 loss ( for 0-4) . Basically we win always against them at San Siro since 2004-2005, 10 victories in a row so far

Contrariwise Milan has a very good tradition with Lazio at San Siro.
It doesn't lose since 1989 ( own goal by Maldini Laughing)

Milan still can't defend but have a much better keeper, they played with a lot more intensity and had a lot more penetration and pace than last year.

Nemanja Vidic.

He plays well , because he is still our defensive leader, anyway in his first match played in Serie A:
referee gives a penalty kick to Torino for an inexsistent contact of Vidic on Quagliarelal ( dive) . Ridicolous decision, Handanovic makes justice.
He used to play in a league where the refs sanction just serious tackles .....

92' minute.  Referee gives free kick to Inter. Vidic claps his hands for his decision because he agrees with it.
Referee  gives him red card because he feels teased for it !  rofl

Embarassing. Really embarassing.

I suppose what bad image he had of Serie A after today , after years in Premier League. Sad for him , forgive us Vidic, you you will need to get used of these craps.
